"that doesn't sound sincere- it sounds rehearsed" is one of the most devastating and fucked-up statements you can make to anyone in the neurodivergent/ADHD/Autistic/Schizophrenic/Disordered Personality sphere. yeah bitch it's rehearsed. because i wanted to get it right when i said it

Baby Skarmory design idea. I've seen cool baby Skarmory designs but I think we deserve a scrungly little guy. Based on steel wool/scouring pad and those ugly newborn chicks.

Incredibly viscerally embarrassing to watch someone blunder into a technical and high context discussion of something to condescendingly explain the primary-school lies-to-children version of it like it's an unprecedented revaluation

The US-backed settler-colonial state of Israel is advancing it's genocidal occupation of Gaza.
The Israeli military is demanding the displacement of all residents of Gaza to the south of the Gaza Strip, which is now a semi-desert area after all means of life were destroyed there. (90% of those currently living in the Gaza Strip were already forcibly displaced from other areas of Palestine, and are now being forcibly displaced again).
The Israeli occupation is now intensifying bombings so that those remaining, who cannot afford displacement, are being forced to flee urgently to the south.
Palestinians in Gaza, including my dear friend Fadel, are in a state of confusion and extreme fear because they are under bombardment and do not have the means to travel and evacuate to the southern Gaza Strip. What are your options when you cannot survive where you are, but you also do not have the funds to survive displacement?
Fadel and his family have calculated the costs of displacement and exit towards the south of the Strip.
The Cost of Displacement:
€1,000 - Tent The price of a tent is very high due to the scarcity of tents and the large number of families purchasing them for displacement. Some families have tents already, but Fadel's family's tent was destroyed earlier this month and they are sleeping on the street.
€1,000 - Transportation Transportation costs to the southern Gaza Strip are high due to the scarcity of fuel in the Gaza Strip.
€600 - Building and purchasing bathroom supplies
€500 / month - Rent The average rent charged for land for the size of the tent and bathroom.
This means that a small family would need between €3,000 and €3,200 to be able to live in this area and begin a semi-normal life, not including the costs of food and medicine, which remain high. He still needs to buy medication each month to treat his chronic illness.
The time to donate to families in the Gaza Strip is right now. This is more urgent by the day. Bombs are falling and everyone is trapped with no way to stay and no way to leave.

white people discovering the clankers meme and enacting racist(mainly antiblack) fantasies onto a fictional race and doing it gleefully because they can somewhat get away with it is disturbing.
it goes from an edgy joke to just straight up punching down/racism
ironic racism is still racism

I wanted to post about this because I know many of my mutuals are avid crafters and I don't know how much attention this endeavour is getting outside of end-of-life spaces-
The Loose Ends Project matches crafters with a project that is unfinished because of death or disability. They offer help with a spectrum of textile mediums in over 80 countries. One project I find particularly lovely: “My mom was making this octopus for me. She was 67 years old when she passed away from COPD. She was hospitalized for pulmonary rehab several times and would always take it to work on while she was there and loved to talk about it with people."

(the red heart marks the last stitch made by this person's mom) Anyway, if something like this is something you'd like to be involved in, they are always looking for more crafters <3
