Book outline that could work??? Vague but promising outline???

Brainstorming and this twist to a more urban fantasy could really actually work, especially with aged up characters? I can even keep some old plotlines with a few twists AND add a few lines I hesitantly dropped several drafts ago back in and have them be more natural! It may be a bit derivative, but I think I've got a few tricks up my sleeve nonetheless...

Like yeah yeah prevention of Mythical Creature Exposure we've all seen it but I'm really much more interested in my characters than a fully unique plotline at this point. And I think I could make this interesting.

love how the very first chapter of Worlds Behind is like "let's establish two facts right out the gate," and the two facts are

1) this man misses his family so so so much

2) he ABSOLUTELY should NOT be around them right now
