mARTch - redo self portrait

Finally got around to finishing this challenge. I wanted to do a more realistic self portrait this time around. I had planned to maybe add some colour but I honestly didn’t like it with colour. I might try adding some colour later. Drawn with Apple Pencil in Procreate on my iPad

More (hopefully the last) in progress shots of Might Moe. I have to be honest, he looks really creepy at the moment since I only have the ears and face left to do. I think I only have a few painting sessions left on this one.

A few work in progress shots of a recent gift for a friend. I’m really happy with how this little dog is turning out so far. This little chihuahua papillon mix is named Moe and he’s quite the character.

mARTch - different art style

I decided to draw a couple of my “outfits of the day” in the style of Animal Crossing New Horizons. I also wanted to try out a mostly lineless style for this one. Might end up doing more of these.

My fiancé and I picked up a new toy for our dog Tasha, I decided to draw it. I’m still getting used to procreate on my new iPad and drawing with the Apple Pencil.

mARTch - anger

He doesn’t look super angry but trust me, Moe’s little body is full of anger. My neighbour gave us her late husband’s really nice grocery trolly and I wanted to thank her. So I drew this of her dog Moe in his little blue sweater. Moe is a Pomeranian/Chihuahua mix.

I was going to do all these digitally in procreate but I wanted to test out these new acrylic markers that I ordered.

Done with both Posca markers and JusArt brush markers.

mARTch - love

Pikachu loves ketchup. I love that Shawn surprised me with an early birthday present - a new iPad and an Apple Pencil! I’m getting used to using procreate again, this time with a stylus that’s actually pressure sensitive.

mARTch - colour week: primary

I chose to use red, green, and blue as my primary colours. Saved myself some time by using the same lineart for both in colour week that I finished.

I might have gotten a tad over ambitious with this one, so it took me longer than I’d like. But I’m very happy with how it turned out. I saw the prompt for “building” and couldn’t resist painting a photo I took during my trip to Peggy’s Cove in Nova Scotia.

Making some good progress on this little boat painting. I’m really happy with how it’s coming along. I just have the shoreline and sand to finish up now.

I couldn’t resist combining the prompts “animal” and “plant” after I took a photo of my cat sitting next to a vase of tulips. I’m trying to do something more simple for these drawings. I like this style and I’m thinking of trying to do more drawings like this.

I’ve been slowly working away at the mARTvh challenge stuff. This month has been rough energy-wise so it’s been a bit slow going. Anyways here’s a wip screenshot.
