I'm not exactly sure about the 'current boyfriend' prank since I never came across it, I did some research though so I hope I got it right. Also, since you didn't specify whenever you want Stanley, Xeno or both, I ended up doing both scenarios and adding the poly option (For God's sake I swear they come in a package, it doesn't feel right to separate them) Also, since you didn't specify MC gender, I went with neutral pronouns. That's all! Enjoy.

You were sitting on the couch with Stanley by your side, your head resting on his chest and his arm wrapped around your shoulders as he enjoyed a cigarette. He had recently returned home after yet another month overseas, and the two of you had taken advantage of the opportunity to spend a chilled afternoon in your apartment.

You had no idea why, but this exact situation reminded you of one of those stupid pranks you'd seen on the internet. Those pranks couples played on each other. Neither you nor Stanley were particularly pranksters, but something in you made you want to try it anyway. Which could end up horribly but let's be honest, you are here for that.

So you took out your phone, opening the camera, just as the phone display showed both your and Stanley faces. The blonde immediately noticed the movement, lifting an eyebrow in confusion "What are you doing?" You smiled mischievously, which could be seen only on the video "I'm making a video to send to Xeno, he has been so busy in his lab and I wanna rub it in his face the fact that we are doing absolutely nothing"

That prompted a smirk on your partner's purple lips, followed by a chuckle "You are so evil, that's why I love you" your grin widened as you hit play, inwardly laughing at the lie you smoothly just laid down "Yo Xee, what's up? Me and my current boyfriend" you paused for a couple of second, keeping in your chuckles as you let the words sink in Stan's mind "Are enjoying the newest Jurassic park movi–"

You were suddenly cut off as you felt too strong arms wrap around your figure and a hand clap down on your mouth, officially shutting you up. "Your current boyfriend?" Your muffled chuckles come out as you couldn't hold them in anymore at his teasing voice. The phone forgotten as you tried to escape his playful trap "What is that supposed to mean, love?" You shrugged your shoulders, trying to act innocent while not being able to talk.

"No, no, no, you don't pull that move on me" he grinned, freeing your mouth only to place down his cigarette and you were able to let out more loud chuckles "What are you talking about? I haven't said anything–" however he, once again, shut you up, this time by kissing you on the lips.

"Ah, ah, ah, real funny. But I'm afraid your 'current boyfriend' doesn't like sharing"

You haven't seen Xeno play a prank like. . .EVER in his entire life. You are not even sure he knows what a prank is! Has that man ever experienced the joy of being a kid and running door to door to ring the doorbell before running away from angry elderly?

. . .who are we kidding? There is no way he ever has done something like that. It's not elegant enough for his taste. If he ever pulled a prank on someone, you imagine him pulling up some sort of ultra gadget no TEN years old kid should be able to build and blow up a building. Yea, that's how you imagine your evil scientist of a boyfriend would prank someone. The old 'building explosion' classic.

You, however, are normal. And so are your pranks, thank god. The government wouldn’t be able to deal with two maniacs exploding buildings all around. No, no, your pranks are more lowkey. And recently one caught your eyes. The 'current boyfriend' prank. You have absolutely no idea how Xeno could react to something so silly and you have all the intentions to find it out.

So that's how you found yourself in his lab, sat by his side while he was talking yor ear off about some experiment. Then, out of nowhere, you took out your phone, feigning answering a fake call from your sibling "Heya! How are things going on home?" You lied through your teeth, placing the phone against your ear and catching a pair of black eyes looking at you in their corners. Perfect, you had his attention.

"Yea, everything is alright also here. Right now I'm with my current boyfriend" you punctuated the last two words, taking a dramatic pause to highlight them. Just then you heard a deep amused chuckle by your side making a shiver run down your spine and your words stammering a bit. "Y-Yea and then we will–" you were suddenly cut off when you felt slender fingers lacing around your phone and pulling it away before the face of your evil boyfriend appeared in front of you.

"Mhm? What has my ears caught? 'Current' boyfriend? Are you implying something, dear?" You tried to keep your smile down from the anticipation, shaking your head as Xeno leaned closer and making you back away almost instinctively. His gaze can be deadly if you weren't used to it already "I'm not sure what you mean" your partner smiled mischievously, with that mysterious allure behind his eyes and making your heart do a little flip.

You forgot how much of a tease he could be.

"Is that so?" He hummed, breath overing your lips. Then, as quick as he leaned, he turned away, going back working on his experiment and leaving you to gape at nothing. "Well, you will have to tell me about this silly trend once I finish with my work" you looked foward with extreme shock as you slowly processed his words.

"You already knew about this!?"

The trend. . .wouldn't really work in a poly relationship to be honest. Since whenever you were with Stanley and tried to pull up the "I'm with my current boyfriend" stuff he would lean close to your face as he look at the phone with a smirk before replying "And the other will join us soon"

While if you were with Xeno he will just say "'Current' boyfriend? Why not call us Boyfriend#1 and Boyfriend#2 while you're at it. But I'm claiming the #1." while looking at you with that smug smile.

And if you tried with 'Current boyfriends'?

"That's cute that you think you can find someone better than us. Unfortunately you are stuck here with a hot soldier and a charming scientist"
