the first magic he ever did was when he was five and he melted an entire ice rink while his brother was playing on it

looking back. it’s fucking hilarious

as Canadian, Rory and his brother were basically born into skates and hockey

Rory’s always loved physical activity and being active --no surprise then he was sorted into Wampus upon his acceptance to Ilvermorny

once under the guidance of professors and lessons, it became very clear that Rory had very strong water magic, especially over ice and snow

Ror loves Ilvermorny, but the thing he seriously misses most about no maj life is by far hockey --Quidditch is no match for the sport even if it does involve flying. Bryce is a freshman at Minnesota Duluth and playing for their team and Rory is infinitely jealous.

Bryce is jealous of Rory’s magic --it evens out somehow

( he may have dragged some people out to the lake for shinny by his second year --there was no way he was going to survive all those months until he went back home )

it’s got his perks tho --freezing ponds in summer is pretty fucking awesome ( shh )

Rory surprisingly does not play Quidditch. He likes flying but it’s just not his /thing/

tbh he probably came along with the Ilvermorny crew so he could skate on Hogwarts’ lake
