It’s been a little time since the new area opened. You haven’t really heard much from Ariadne or Clio during this time. Could this be the end of your troubles? Probably not.

One morning, your ID card beeps, and then displays a message that reads: “Please gather at the colosseum at 10 AM. If you refuse to show up willingly, I will be forced escort you there myself. - Ariadne.”

When you arrive at the colosseum, you find Ariadne standing there with her cellphone up next to her ear. She hangs up once everyone arrives.

“Oh, hello. It looks like you’re all here. Good. I was just on the phone with Clio.”

“Seeing as there has been a serious lack of killing lately, she has given me yet another motive for you all to consider.”

Your ID card beeps again. There’s a new message.

“If you look at your ID cards right now, you’ll notice that there is a message with a ‘secret’ that has been given to you. This secret is about one of your fellow captives, and yes, it is all very much true. The simple truth of this is that if someone is not killed soon, I will be forced to reveal everyone’s deepest, and darkest secrets to the world. We wouldn’t want that, now would we?”

She folds her arms.

“That is all I have for you. Good luck, I suppose.”

I CAN DO EVEN BETTER [Execution]

CONGRATULATIONS! YAHIRO AMANE HAS BEEN FOUND GUILTY. COMMENCING EXECUTION. . .

“I CAN DO EVEN BETTER.”

The rules were already established- the blackened classmate is to be executed when correctly found. So how was Yahiro Amane? How was the teen who was going to die? There were no loopholes - at least… not ones that could be found with this amount of time. So he stands. Sentenced to his death with a smug smile on his face. There’s a rattling beyond the trial room, and in an instant, a chain erupts from the elevator. The cold metal snakes around his neck, clasping down around his throat. Yahiro clasps his fingers around the chain in an attempt to pull it off before being dragged away into the darkness. Yahiro is gone.

A monitor flickers to life in the trial room. The image of the defense attorney the class witnessed being stolen away is displayed remarkably clearly. His struggling is minimal despite all four of his limbs bound with metal straps down to a wooden chair. The ties cut into his skin when he attempts to pull free, and with an exasperated sigh, flashes the same charming smile he left the room with.

Only then does he realize where exactly he’s settled into. A court room. He purses his lips, the smile peeling off his face. How disappointingly predictable! The sound of a gavel banging grabs his attention to the front of the room.

A hooded figure is sat in the judge’s seat. “Heeey Xavier - long time no see!” Fuck. He winces at that voice. The stranger lowers her hood. “How’s that guy you left me for? Haruuuuya, right? I-D-K, he’s totally unimportant!” This is the quietest you’ve ever heard Yahiro. “N-E-waaaaayz, we’re here to judge your crimes…!”

His face is blank. Absolutely devoid of emotion and color. The girl sighs. “Ohhh my god, you’re sooo fucking boring now! Isn’t that why you left me? Because I was boring!?” He still doesn’t answer. For the first time, he looks… scared. The familiar cockiness has frozen off and blown away into a visage that’s hard to call Yahiro.

The chair makes a buzzing sound and Yahiro jolts. “IS THAT BORING?” She laughs, and the chair stops. Yahiro is biting his lip, a pained expression on his face. “Hooo boy, this is gonna be fun!”

An image of a corpse flashes on screen. It’s… certainly a real corpse, and Yahiro’s face falls. The neck is slightly twisted, the eyes blank, the mouth slightly agape, pooling on the ground in its own blood next to a pair of cracked glasses. “Ohhh fuck.” That’s all he says. The palor of the corpse is almost as pale as Yahiro’s skin.

“Don’t think I didn’t notice!” She gives a peace sign. “You killed Satoru Yotsuya! You even arranged that whole murder so you could get into the legal field! When he wasn’t useful anymore, you pushed him off the roof!” Yahiro closes his eyes, murmuring something softly.

Another corpse flashes on screen. It’s chest is bloody, streaming in every direction. The white chalk is obscured by red splattered and cut flesh. Just the sight makes a tingle of pain run through the class. Those following the Lover Boy case might recognize this as his first victim. “Aaaand, wow, you were really messy back then! Grrrrooss!”

More corpses, more commentary. Each time, the corpse looks like its last moments alive were pure agony. Each time, the girl denounces Yahiro’s shoddy knifework - or messy disposal - and pins him as the culprit. For seven more bodies, a grand total of nine.

And then, the corpse of Momoka Chikamatsu comes on. “BOOO! Sloppy, sloppy, sloppy! THIS was your worst job yet!” She rolls her eyes. “Anyway, that’s a grand total of ten, huh, Xavy? Or should I say - Lover Boy?”

She sighs, pulling down her hood to reveal a pretty brunette girl. She has obvious robotic features, and this seems to make Yahiro relax. She plays with a remote in her hands. “Wait - don’t look so relieved! This is the best part!”

“Your sentence.”

With that, Yahiro begins to jerk and scream - sparks dancing out of the chair’s wires. He’s suffering, and the girl seems to enjoy that. The same metal straps that held him down are alive with electricity. Smoke spirals into the top of the room, and hooded figure remains in the background. Yahiro’s screams are pained, full of agony, resonating both through the courtroom and the trial room.

Finally the screaming stops, and though the body still jerks, you know that Xavier Martins - or Yahiro Amane, is dead. The electricity in his body lets the corpse twitch for a few moments longer. The ends of his hair stick up, and his skin is charred black around the straps. Even so, the eyes of the body still hold a glimmer of the pure evil you now know him as.

The girl giggles and the screen cuts to her face. “Hope you enjoyed my special Couple’s Court episode!” A peace sign, and the monitor switches off.

“As you all now know, there has been a murder. Congratulations to the killer. Now, for a bit of detail on what will happen and how this works...

“After 3 people have seen the corpse of the victim, everyone will receive a notification, just like now. You will shortly receive a file with more information about how the murder occurred as well. You will have a certain amount of time to investigate in order to figure out who the killer is. You will then be escorted to our trial room, where you will vote on who it was. If you choose correctly, the killer will be executed and you will all leave unharmed...If you don’t choose the right person, that person will go free and get to leave the island...and you will all be executed.”

“Good luck, students.”

The Silence Of The Lambs [CH1 MURDER]

The past week has been nothing but sunny and peaceful, along with a side of paranoia and fear. As ridiculous as the idea of someone genuinely murdering someone for the sake of money...and escaping this place sounds, you can’t help but wonder...what if?

Rui was playing by the beach watching Taiyou while Momoka was off to get a bandaid after she scraped her knee...However, a lot of time had passed since she went off. She said she wouldn’t take long... Rui can’t imagine that anything bad happened, but...he has a feeling he should go over and check on her.

He gets up and heads to Julien and Asuka’s cottage. He knocks on the door and asks if anyone’s there, but gets no answers. He then puts his hand on the door handle, and to his surprise...the door is unlocked. He slowly opens the door only too see...

Momoka, dead on the floor in a pool of blood.

He screams loudly in horror and poor little Taiyou starts howling and nudging the corpse of his owner, hoping she’ll wake up. Julien, who happened to not be far away heard the scream and and the howling. He thinks...was that from my cottage? He runs over and is met with the corpse as well. And then, suddenly, everyone’s student IDs start ringing.

DING DING DING

A message pops up.

“A body has been found! Momoka Chikamatsu has been murdered! More information is on the way!”

She presents the suitcase and opens it back up. Money.

“Study it as much as you’d like, but if you attempt to run off with as much as a dollar I will kill you, Matsuzaki. I won’t give you any second chances either.”

El Dorado [CH1: Motive]

A few quiet weeks has passed since everyone woke up on the mysterious island. Nothing particular has happened, besides being informed of the fact that they will stay here forever...unless, of course, someone successfully gets away with murder.

This morning, every cottage woke up with a somewhat ominous note hanging on their doors saying: “Please gather at the agora at 10 am. If you refuse to show up willingly I will escort you there myself. - Ariadne.”

...Since it doesn’t look like anyone has a choice, everyone heads over to the agora in time (Hopefully! Yikes!).

When they arrive, Ariadne is standing in front of the giant statue in the middle, holding the cellphone in her hand yet again. She greets everyone by bowing politely.

“…Good morning, students. I hope you enjoyed your last safe night of sleep. You see, Cilo and I have noticed there is not...enough enthusiasm here. So she would like to give you all a message.”, As she says that, she puts the phone on speaker and holds it up.

“Fuck you assholes.”, Clio says sharply from the other side of the line. “Murder people. I’ll pay you. Fuck you yet again.” And then...she hangs up.

“…”

“…Thank you, Clio…In other words, here’s the deal.”

Ariadne brings out a large and professional-looking suitcase and opens it up. Inside it is probably the biggest amount of cash bundles you’ve ever seen in person. “Inside of this suitcase is 1 million dollars. I have 4 other suitcases just like this one, so, together I have 5 million dollars. Whoever kills someone first will receive all of this and gets to go home...as long as you get away with the murder, of course.”, And with that said, she closes the suitcase again.

“You’re welcome to ask me to confirm the authenticity of all of this. That is all. Good luck.”

The lack of response doesn't shoo away this illusionist, and they beam up at Ariadne with a wide grin. "Well, you're one beautiful rose. “Well, that’s fortunate for you, considering that you will spend the rest of your life here, and I will not be leaving...Unless you kill someone, of course.”

Ariadne squints at their second question.

“I am not allowed to state my knowledge on the situation. Please do not ask me again.”

🌠 dramatically goes down on one knee in front of Ariadne, and gets one of her hands and holds it. This is so stupid I'm going to cry. "An angel! Has anyone told you that your beauty is like a blooming rose?"

Such A Lovely Face...

It’s the middle of the second day. The agora is crowded, many of the students gathering there to discuss their situation, and no one seems to notice anything amiss as Yahiro steps onto the tarp covering the statue in the corner, accidentally pulling it clear off.

The oddly realistic statue resembles a young woman with short black hair and wearing what looks to be a hotel assistant’s outfit? As Yahiro reaches out to touch it, the so called statue suddenly stands up and opens it’s eyes. Everyone stands back in shock at the sudden movement. The “statue” brushes some dirt off herself and looks over at everyone. She then clears her throat with a cough.

“Ah, finally...Excuse me for the delay.”, She says, bowing politely.

“Without further ado…Greetings, students. My name is Ariadne, I am here to watch over you and make sure you obey Clio’s rules accordingly. Who is Clio, you ask? Why are we here in the first place? Allow me to introduce them and let them explain.”

Ariadne holds up a cell phone. It seems to be in a call. The screen displays nothing but a crown design.

“Welcome to Elysium.”

The voice is low and cold, distinctly feminine. The speaker doesn’t sound as if she’s any older than you. In fact, she sounds a little younger.

The students gathered mutter to each other, trying to take in what’s going on.

“Shut up. I’m only explaining this once, so listen up or else.”

The murmurs quiet down.

“Okay. That being said, my name is Clio. I’m one of the nine muses - the other eight, though? They aren’t important, at least not now. What’s important is that years ago, in the Crete Grove, the gods of Olympus struck Icarus down from the heavens. You are the ones who will pay the price for their transgression. This isle, once paradise reserved for those who lived virtuous lives, has been emptied. It will now be your own personal hell. You will stay here until the end of time - unless you kill one of your own. That is all.”

Ariadne holds up a cell phone. It seems to be in a call.

Ariadne then hangs up and puts the phone back into her pocket.

“Thank you very much, Clio. Now- Hey, hey, hey- everyone, settle down. Anyway...”

“You may go wherever you’d like now...Or where you have access to go, at least. If you need me I will be-...”
