i was 14 and i was walking through a mall by myself at 12am after my shift at coldstone creamery lol and a bunch of men started whistling and meowing and getting really close to me and they kept asking me questions and i kept not answering until i didn’t know what else to do so i said “i���m only 14” and almost in unison they said “we don’t care” i was so fucking scared i didn’t know what to do and they kept talking about how i looked and how my body looked and what they would do i was on the verge of tears i was all alone in a huge mall i knew i couldn’t outrun them all i felt totally hopeless until a maintenance worker came up to all of us with a huge industrial broom in her hand, i thought she was going to yell at all of us for being in the mall after hours bc she probably thought we were all friends but instead she cursed all of them out in spanish, threatened to press a panic button on her belt and then proceeded to walk me to the basement garage and waited with me until my mom got there to pick me up she had a death grip on her cart the whole time and a face of steel she looked so strong and i just kept saying thank you and she kept saying not to thank her because she had to stop them.

that was the moment i realized women were the most important beings on this planet and we have to protect each other bc nobody else is going to, she didn’t even know me, we couldn’t even communicate that well because of the language barrier, she could have lost her job for waiting with me in the parking lot but she looked out for me when she didn’t have to, she had nothing to gain from it, i’m 21 now and i tell everyone this story even though it happened 7 years ago, what she did that night helped me form and shape lot of my beliefs early on.

You know what? New rule.

If you force an introvert into a social gathering they don’t feel comfortable with/don’t want to go to you are responsible for their good time.

You have to include them in conversations or go sit with them when they have no one to talk to.

Because if you can’t do that, don’t make them come. Don’t force them in a situation where they feel alone and helpless and leave them floundering. 

“But it’s good for them to get out.” You’re not making me adapt. You’re not making me more social. You’re reinforcing every negative opinion I have on these gatherings and giving me the resolve to say ‘Fuck off’ the next time you try this.

Imagine:

Ricky finding out Georgina is pregnant with a baby girl.

Georgina wasn’t suppose to get pregnant this quickly, but Ricky had learned in his life that very few things went according to plan. If things went according to plan, Georgina would already be out of their lives. Georgina was picked by them to only be a short fling for Cristiano to distract people from the birth of the twins and the whole tax evasion scandal but as Ricky got to know her, he found himself really liking her and enjoying her company. He found out a lot about her, like she used to be a nanny for twins. Ricky approached Cristiano with this information and reasoned that she could be of help, so he decided to extend her contract. Their relationship turned into a friendship and after speaking with Cristiano, Ricky asked if she would be a surrogate for him. He’d already asked Claudia, but she had no desire to be pregnant at the moment and he totally respected that. Georgina thought over it and ultimately agreed to start the process. It wasn’t something they talked about, but IVF had been a struggle for Cristiano and his surrogate. It had taken multiple tries over a few years before Junior was conceived. It again took multiple tries before the twins were conceived. Ricky figured it would take at least a year before Georgina became pregnant but, of course, he was wrong.

- “I’m Pregnant!” Georgina happily announced as she ran into their room, only six weeks after the first IVF try, holding a plastic stick in her hand. She gave it to Ricky and Ricky could clearly see the two lines indicating that she was in fact pregnant. Cristiano laughed as he rocked little Eva in his arms. “Of course you have super sperm.”

- Now, Georgina was five months pregnant with his child. The pregnancy had been relatively smooth for Georgina and himself. Their PR team was mad that people were questioning the pregnancy and it didn’t help that he was liking cricky post on Instagram, but he never cared what the PR thought and he was a grown man that would do as he pleased. He was at home with Cristiano and their kids when Georgina came over. “I had my checkup today and everything is fine with baby.” She said as she sat at the kitchen table with the couple. She pulled out the ultrasound pictures from her purse and placed them on the table. “Do you want to know the sex?” “Yes!” Cristiano answered excitedly and the cleared his throat. “I mean, sure why not.” Ricky laughed and nodded. “Yes, I want to know.” He said and then she handed the ultrasound pictures to Ricky. “You’re going to be a girl dad.” She happily spoke as Ricky took the ultrasound from her. He gasped as he looked down at his baby girl. “A baby girl…” He said as he ran his finger across the picture. A tear fell from his eye as he looked over at Cristiano. “We’re going to have another girl.” Cristiano got up to hug his Ricky and Ricky returned the hug. Georgina would later blame it on the hormones, but she started to cry at the cute moment. “Why is everyone crying?” Junior asked as he walked into the kitchen, carrying Mateo in his arms. “You’re going to have another sister.” Cristiano answered because Ricky was too emotional to answer. Junior gasped. “More siblings! I’m calling grandma!” He said and left the room with his little brother. Ricky composed himself and wiped his eyes. He looked over at Georgina and smiled. “Thank you for this. You don’t know how happy you’ve made me.” He was never going to be able to repay for giving him another princess.
