Head cannon: Despite the games/comics showing us that Shadow has overcome his grief, I don't think he's fully processed it. Especially since Shadow doesn't seem to actually feel his feelings (be angry/grumpy does not count lol). I imagine there was a day where the grief hit him at a completely random moment. The inciting moment would be him discovering something that brought him joy and remembering he couldn't share it with Maria; the full loss of what was and what could have been hitting him all at once. He would have explored the old Space Colony already before this breakdown and taken one of Maria's old nightgowns, a simple memento of his favorite memories - sleepovers with music, movies, games, and snacks. But in this moment, it's his anchor in the storm of anguish that's threatening to swallow him whole, soothing the ache in his chest and the lump in his throat.

I can only speak for myself, but grief is so horribly complex. So while it feels backwards to seek out an item from the source of his grief holding/looking at cherished memories/items can help ease the feelings that come with the loss.

Head cannon: Fleetway Sonic is it's own entity that possesses Sonic in his super form. It can see all his memories and experience all his feelings. It's driven by a need to cause extreme fear and sorrow and does so by attacking/dismembering/killing people. It has a psychotic, insatiable, blood lust and it will sometimes seek out individuals it perceives as powerful so it can engage in drawn-out, violent, battles to satiate this desire. It consumes blood not because of a need, but a want to psychologically torment it's victims. Sonic doesn't remember his time while possessed, by flickers of memories will sometimes appear in his dreams.

My other head cannon is simply that Shadow has a wildly different blood colour than all other living beings to really drive home he's part alien. lol

The Israeli army ordered us to evacuate our home in Gaza. With heavy hearts, we fled south, taking only what little we could carry. Not long after, we received the devastating news that our house—our home—was completely destroyed. Everything I had worked for, everything that held the memories of my family, was reduced to rubble.😭

Now, we live in a tent, struggling to stay dry, to stay warm. The rain beats down on us as the ground turns to mud beneath our feet. The cold seeps into our bones at night, and hope feels more distant with each passing day.

I never thought I would find myself in this situation, forced to rely on the kindness of strangers to survive. But here I am, asking for help, not just for myself but for my family, who have lost everything. I want to rebuild a safe home for my wife, my brothers, and my sisters. I want to give them a future, something to hold onto when everything else has been taken away.

In a small corner of Gaza, where the lights fade and darkness falls, Mahmoud sat alone, thinking. He was a young man like any other, dreaming of a better future, a safe home, and a job that would provide him and his family with a decent life. But the dream turned into a nightmare, and life into a daily struggle for survival.

Mahmoud's family, which includes 43 members, lived under the burden of siege and war. They lost their homes, and watched their dreams fade before their eyes. Every day was a new challenge, searching for a living amidst the lack of water and electricity, and the fear of bombing that could come at any moment.

"I saw hope in the eyes of my children, but the siege was taking it away from them little by little," Mahmoud says sadly. "They wanted to play in the streets, and go to school, but all that surrounded them was destruction and fear."

Mahmoud's dream now is simple, to get his family out of this hell, and to start a new life in a safe place. But the costs of migration are high, and far beyond their means.

Noha is a story of courage and determination. She reminds us that disability is not a barrier, and that anything is possible if you are determined enough.
