Carbonite King au:

Say the Mandalorian Civil War lasted an extra year and Padawan Obi-Wan, age 19, ends up captured and tortured by Death Watch and Tor Vizla comes to gloat over and then execute the jetii. Well, Obi-Wan gets loose, takes his chance and ends up killing Tor Vizla in single combat, winning the dark saber, and promptly collapses of his injuries.

Death Watch implodes over the argument as to whether they ought herald him as their new Mand'alor as tradition dictates or dispose of him.

A True Believer, in the fracas, adopts their new Mand'alor into their clan (hmmm... Clan Wren, perhaps?) and then sticks him in carbonite with the darksaber and proof of his ascension by combat and adoption in ord er to keep him from dying of his injuries or being assassinated.

Unfortunately, this True Believer dies in Death Watch's infighting, and with their internal issues and lack of leader devolving their movement, Satine Kryze's Republic-backed revolution claims eminence on Mandalore.

Till.

Nearly two decades later when Almac and Pre Vizla, up to some shady shit while the galaxy is distracted by the Clone Wars, dig him up as an unexpected find in their pursuit of the darksaber.

Almec betrays Vizla, defrosts the would-be jetii boy-king and then blasts the airwaves calling for the denunciation of usurper Satine Kryze in favor of this rightful Mand'alor.

By the time Obi-Wan wakes up, it's a whole movement, fervently supported by his adopted Clan who are apparently now flocking around him and also paying for his medical treatment and, again, keeping him from being assassinated. So that's kind of... nice?

By the time he actually gets a chance to meet with Satine (and her "nephew" whom he side-eyed suspiciously for an hour before Satine informs him that Korkie is her son, but not his, though she admits that she definitely had a type when it came to her lovers.) Mandalore itself has all but declared him their new ruler.

So.

Obi-Wan is in the middle of deciphering this political mess when he also finds out that, oh yeah, apparently the rest of the kriffing galaxy is embroiled in a massive civil war that Mandalore has declared neutrality to.

Obi-Wan takes the mantle of Mand'alor because otherwise this whole system is going to collapse into infighting again and he just finished that conflict, didn't he? 3 weeks and/or 20 years ago?

Then he finds out that oh, yeah, the Clone Army? They are all copies of the previous rightful Mand'alor, Jango Fett.

( Obi-Wan's internal commentary is just - what the fuck what.the.fuck. whatthefuck???!!!)

Also they are not technically citizens of anywhere and have a sum total of zero human rights and Obi-Wan ret-cons Satine's prior ruling to excommunicate Jango Fett as a Mandalorian ( He knows why she did it. If she didn't, well, then it could be taken that Mandalore had sold the Clone Army to the Republic, and that - Force, what a nightmare.)

And then he declares that as the genetic relations of Jango Fett, citizen and former government official of Mandalore, all the Clones are therefore also, by charter, Mandalorian citizens and therefore-

The Republic had no right to draft them- no, to enslave them, regardless of Jango Fett's... dubious parental issuance.

In the middle of their massive Civil War, Obi-Wan Kenobi, King of Mandalore, sues the Republic for damages and Sentient Rights violations.

The Clones are really fucking confused, but all of a sudden they've got armored mando supercommandos just kind of... showing up on their battlefields and at their command posts and stationing themselves just shy of territory violations around Kamino.

So the Republic, right, sends beloved Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker, his Padawan, his former Master, and Senators Organa and Amidala to... reason with this aggressive young ruler over possession of their army.

And they show up and Obi-Wan is just like; Hands on his hips, "Okay, really though, what the fuck?"

Created an AU where Obi Wan adopts the twins and takes them to hide out Tatooine with him. He’s a tired dad and the twins are menaces. There’s a lot of sadness and drama to be found but for now let’s enjoy the cute, sweet family stuff. (Feel free to send asks if you want!)

Bold of you to assume that Obi-wan Kenobi did not immediately turn around and traumatise him back. Obi-wan does not have daddymaster issues his master has padawan issues.

He returns from MelidaDaan with the power of being 14 (derogatory) and excessive weaponry on his side. Qui-gon's being called by the teachers cause his padawan is teaching the other kids how to make shivs and also unionise. He's sneaking off to the lower levels to hustle sabbac games in order to buy tiny blasters he can keep in his tunics and boots.

When Xantos breaks in to the temple Obi-wan tells him that it's frankly embarassing for him to have had Qui-gon Jinn of all people living rent free in his head for so many years.

Okay I'm gonna break this down real simple like.

The Light Side of The Force is The Force in balance.

The Dark Side is a corruption of The Force. An infection.

The Jedi serve The Force. They are subservient to it.

The Sith subvert The Force. They bend it to their will in an unnatural way.

The Light Side is peace. It is acknowledging your negative emotions without being consumed by them, and living in harmony with The Force.

The Dark Side is suffering. It is succumbing to your negative emotions and being consumed by them.

The Jedi defend life.

The Sith exert their will on those weaker than themselves.

Light = Jedi = Good

Dark = Sith = Evil
