SIGNAL BOOST.
So as some people may know (or maybe you don’t), I’ve been living with an ex boyfriend for the past two years. We broke up in summer of 2014, and honestly, we’ve been through a lot of ups and downs, including living with a woman who was not only extremely transphobic but also extremely mentally abusive and controlling for an entire year. We finally were able to escape and move down by ourselves to Mansfield, Ohio last March in 2014. We both work online as freelance writers, though it hasn’t been steady pay at all, and we’ve barely skated by due to bosses giving us the short end of the stick all the time. While no one wants to live with an ex boyfriend for this long, I have decided to finally give myself an out of the situation by going to move in with some friends. These friends have even assisted me in getting a more stable job once I move in with them. This doesn’t help the fact that I still need the money to make the move, considering I have $2 to my name. My goal is to make $730 so that I can use all of it to not have to depend on my friends when I move in with them and use their money while I get settled in, and also I need to pay for the move itself. It’s not going to be easy, but the situation with my ex has been getting far too much for either of us and it’s not a healthy situation anymore (yelling at each other, threats, etc. etc.) It’s not a situation either of us I want to be in, which has also made me want to move away as soon as possible. It also doesn’t help that one of the jobs we had been working, that I was going to use towards the move, had decided to double hire. This made me get a message about how he was going ‘in a different direction’ and had decided to drop me as a worker (even though I was in the middle of writing). I’m honestly really bad at writing these, but I also draw, and if anyone would be interested in any type of art for donating, I would honestly appreciate it! My goal for this is May 5th, but making the goal beforehand would be amazing. Thank you so much for reading.
