Prayer request
Tw: mention of suicidal ideas
Any Christian who sees this please pray for me
Last days I've been drifting away from God and I've also been dealing with lots of anxiety too. It's very complicated times, please pray that I'll get back to God and be okay and that i can get to accomplish something that I'm planning. It has been weighting on my heart and i just want a rest and to be okay
I'm so tired of life and i feel like I'm going suicidal again and it's so hard to stay clean from addictions and i really want to cut again (sh)
And also pray for my mom and her health
Thank you

Can we as Christians actually get a grip on divorce, please?
Like, sorry, but I am so tired of people acting like divorce AT ALL (in any capacity) is a sin when it's not.
"But the Bible says someone who divorces their spouse and marries someone else commits adultery--"
The reason Jesus said that was because historically, at the time, men were just divorcing their wives for any old reason and replacing them with newer models---not because of any true wrongdoing on the woman's part. And by divorcing these women, they were leaving them HOMELESS because back then, women weren't human beings.
So Jesus answered the religious leaders when they asked him, "Can a man divorce his wife for any reason?" That shows you that the culture around them allowed for that.
So if anything, Jesus was saying in FAVOR of women literally not getting tossed away because their husbands got bored. And sure, it might be intense---but that's all the more reason why you need to check yourself before you get married to somebody.
And for those of you who are disgusting enough to say that abuse isn't a reason to get divorced, let me ask you this:
What does the Bible tell husbands to do? "Husbands, love your wives like Christ loved the Church."
Keyword there. LOVE. And what did Christ do for the Church? He DIED for it.
So is a man abusing his wife following God's command? No. Absolutely not. In fact, God hates abuse so much, it is stated in 1 Peter 3:7, "Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect as the weaker partner and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers."
This means if you are out here abusing your wife, God literally closes his ear off to you. That's how much he hates it.
So if God hates it so much to the point of literally EXTRACTING himself from the husband, why would he hate the wife for protecting herself by divorcing him?
Yes, divorce is an objectively bad situation. It's never an objectively GOOD thing same way how it's never truly and objectively good thing for you to get fired from your job. But if I hear one more person trying to use that aspect as a reason for why women shouldn't leave abuse relationships, I am going to implode.
This ideology is how women get killed by their spouses (and even their children if they have any). Yes, the goal should be to love and help people. But if someone is putting hands on you, abusing you, mistreating you, YOU ARE NOT OBLIGATED TO TOLERATE IT.

I came across a writing by a woman sharing her story of being raped and tortured by two men which resulted in extensive permanent damage to multiple parts of her body (including lasting psychological damage). Please pray for her healing and comfort. Please pray that she is able to feel safe and secure. Please pray that she is able to find justice, and that her attackers repent and don't harm others. Please pray for all victims of sexual violence and torture.
Lord, have mercy.

Let's pray for Syrian Christians! Yesterday (June 22nd), during the mass, there was a suicide bomber who bombed himself inside of the Church.
The bomber is confirmed to be a member of ISIS Jihadist group. It's confirmed that some people died (I don't know the number). Some days before the attack on walls of the church it was written "Your turn is next". Church in question is Mar Elias. You can see the footage and more news and updates on the @eastern_christians channel on instagram. I can't recommend them enough, they are great for staying in touch with their community!
Let's pray for our brothers and sisters, let's spread the news and make it known what they are going through!
And let's remember this verse:
"I have told you this so that you may not fall away. 2 They will expel you from the synagogues; in fact, the hour is coming when everyone who kills you will think he is offering worship to God. 3They will do this because they have not known either the Father or me. (John 16:1-3)

It is not your job, as a female, to heal men in any way. You should not be tied to someone because “without you, he would be lost”. A relationship should be based on both parts caring about each other and being happy for being in that relationship, and not on a woman sacrificing her own life in order to take care of a male ass.
We are not your caretakers, okay? It is not our jobs to give up on everything we wish to do and to be in order to take care of men. And I’m not saying a woman cannot do it, but that we are not obliged to do it and that we should not be painted as monsters when we decide we don’t want to do it.

Biblical Womanhood =/= Trad Wife Bullshit
Tumblr media
Young Christian girls, remember that the Proverbs 31 woman is a business owner. She makes and sells clothes. She bought a farm with her own money. She's intelligent enough to do her business WELL. The average working mother is much closer to the Proverbs 31 woman than these wealthy trad wife influencers.
Biblical womanhood is not about being docile or worshipping men. It's not about this creepy obsession with submission. It's about being intelligent, doing whatever needs to be done for yourself and your family. Following God's will. Deborah led an army. Judith murdered a King to save her people. Esther is the one who must intervene to save her people.
And to see Catholic women parroting this bullshit? When even our own Saints weren't these cutesy little trad life girls. God told St. Hidegard Von Bingin to preach. Imagine if St. Joan of Arc responded to God's call with "Bu-But I'm just a cute coqeutte girl 🎀". St. Teresa of Avila reformed and created the Discalced Carmelites. Even St. Maria Goretti, a child, fought to the death to protect her dignity and autonomy. It was women who spread the word of Jesus, who spread the word of His resurrection.
Jesus was born of a woman, Mary and God. No human male was involved in His birth. Never forget the importance of that. Christ protected women who committed mortal sins. He told men to gauge out their eyes if they can't respect a woman's dignity. He showed himself to a woman first. The late Pope Francis himself called St. Mary Magdelene the Apostle to the Apostles.
Never allow anyone to weaponize your faith against you. God does not view you as a helpmate. God has nothing but respect and reverence for women's power. Never ever ever let someone tell you that biblical womanhood is about being weak and dependent or being the most "pure" or the most feminine. Biblical womanhood is about strength, nobility, and love for God at the core of every action.

Here's a few things to know about my blog!
It's basically a side blog my main is @1910marilloo . I'm more active there tbh
As you can already tell this is a religious blog dedicated to (Orthodox mostly) Christianity
Feel free to ask for any prayers, I'll be more than glad to pray for you
I post a bit of mature stuff sometimes, so be aware of that
DNI: Anti-religion, anything that ends with "phobe", racists, ableists, porn blogs
I respect you and I'm not here for fights. If you don't respect me back or anything else just block me. If you don't bother doing this first then I will do that we can live both in peace

Prayer for an end to the abuse of women written by the Franciscan Sisters of the Poor
We pray to you, Lord, on behalf of women all across the world.
You are sacred, Lord, and you work wondrous things:
We pray to you so that an end will come to the physical and moral violence committed against the bodies, minds, and the spirits of women.
You are clemency, Lord, you are shelter: grant women the strength and the courage to recognize their own slavery and to escape from oppression.
You are beauty, Lord, you are humility and patience: Illuminate the path of rebirth that millions of women are traveling.
You are our hope, Lord, you are faith and compassion: Purify the memory and the minds of women from the persecution they have suffered, from the humiliations and tortures they were forced to undergo.
You are good, Lord, every goodness, the highest goodness: We cannot allow evil and violence against women to continue to be cultivated. Help us to break apart evil with all our energies of love.
Inspire new laws and new political action in favor of the dignity and respect of women in every country on our planet.
Amen! [x]
