Thor and Odin both told me that you had died. Imagine my surprise when your brother told us all of your…” She wouldn’t call it mischief. That wasn’t what this was. His attack on Midgard was far from the cheeky pranks she tolerated.

“Regardless, I am admittedly pleased to see you alive and HOME. Though perhaps it wasn’t the throne that tempted you–maybe I just REPULSE you.” Sigyn paused and nodded her head, dark hair tumbling forward. “Seeing as you are constantly abandoning me.”

His wife had TEETH. That was for certain. 

“What did you want? A letter? What would I write... SURPRISE! I’m alive.” Sarcasm soaks heavily into his words, distaste at knowing he was bound to a wife too loyal. One he assumed too loyal to Asgard itself to allow him the freedom to undermine his own family. 

Her words injury in their own way and a flicker of that pain crosses his face before he hides it again. “It’s FREEDOM for you. Not having to be married to a monster like me.”

That is part of his own self loathing. Knowing that he is of Frost Giant blood. An outcast among the people who raised him and never ENOUGH.

     How was she going to tell Barbara what she was sent out to tell her without revealing that it was Oswald who had ordered her to do so, CONFIRMING that she was barely more than his pet, just like Barbara had assumed. That was the last thing she wanted to acknowledge, trying her best to stay ignorant to how little her role was in the Penguin’s business and how he was using her to do the dirty work for him.

            “ I’m … just here to tell you to stay out of Penguin’s territory. ” She crossed her arms, trying to look somewhat threatening ( not something that came very natural to her yet, usually she just hit people to show that she was being serious ). “ I’m supposed to WARN you. Stay in line, Barbara. ”

“Sweetie, listen.. you don’t have the TEETH to threaten looking like that.” She’s all too amused, swirling her martini in hand and sipping delicately at it. “Besides, what was that you said?”

Uncrossing ankles, pushing to her feet, Barbara smiles up at her. It’s all sharp, and in no way friendly. “You are SUPPOSED to warn me? Yeah, you’re not vey convincing. Maybe Ozzie should just get you a suit and call you his umbrella girl.”

Because knowing him, Oswald will quite happily let the redhead be the one to take the rain when this city erupts into chaos. It’s only a matter of time.

Setting this blog on Low Activity for a little bit.

What this means - I’ve gone through my thread tracker and narrowed down threads. I’ve archived a bunch of stuff (either because replies are over a month old or i’m struggling with replies/know the other blogger is on a break )

This is what I’m keeping and will be putting in queue. I’ll still be writing these muses on discord, so anything I have going on there is staying <3.
