Random Croc & Hawk thoughts

I like the idea of Mihawk enjoying his peeps' warmth I've seen around. I imagine he would be like a cat.

Back when they were childhood associates, alone against the world, Crocodile noticed little Mihawk struggled to sleep when it was cold. As such, he let the younger boy sleep near him when the temperatures dropped. Crocodile had to go there and pull Mihawk closer in the beginning, but soon the boy was just joining Crocodile whenever he wanted it. Crocodile didn't mind it. It was cute. Like a little kitten.

Nowadays, though, things are a bit different.

Crocodile is sleeping. Comfortably. In his silk pyjamas and sleep mask. Under a 100% alabastan cotton duvet. When movement in his bed wakes him up.

Annoyed, he pulls his mask up.

It's Mihawk, fully grown ass man Mihawk, who has already settled at his side, under the sheets. Curled up against him. Eyes closed, ready to sleep.

"Hawk Eyes... what are you doing?"

"It's cold." Mihawk answers without even opening an eye.

"Aren't you too old for this?"

"The larger a body is, the greater the ratio between its mass and surface area is. You're still much better at retaining heat than I am."

"We can get you a space heater, you know?"

"Getting to feel another's breathing movements also helps the sleep."

Crocodile sighes.

"Uh... Fine... But can't you at least leave your sword out of my bed?"

"No." Mihawk answers, while hugging his gigantic sword. "And her name is Yoru."

Aware that there's not much hope in changing Mihawk's mind, Crocodile ends up letting him and his sword stay. At least Mihawk sleeps like a dead man -quite literally, he doesn't move a muscle until he wakes up- so there's no chance of him rolling and hitting Crocodile with Yoru's cross guard.

With a crew of 20 and a caffeine addicted captain, I imagine the Polar Tang has quite the collection of mugs from different islands. Bepo tried to find the least-crass one possible for Cora. (Stay tuned for more)
