"Maybe I'll kill that reporter who does all your interviews. Maybe I'll kill Clark Kent."
This is the most important line in the movie. I'm 100% serious. It tells you everything you need to know about Lex Luthor's character. It shows the audience that, despite being almost omnicognizant from the get-go, Luthor clearly has no fucking idea who Superman is, only what he does.
I've never seen anyone go from All-Knowing Evil to Absolute Fucking Loser so fast. In fifteen words he went from unstoppable criminal powerhouse to flailing manchild moron. He gave his Evil Dictator demonstration and then turned around, dropped his pants and showed his entire ass. He proclaimed his manifesto of unrelenting ego, turned around, slipped on a banana peel and landed on a whoopie cushion.
And he was so mired in his own sense of superiority that he never even knew it.
Lex Luthor, folks. Ten out of ten, no notes.

Oh, our dear Serena has lived her entire ExtraOrdinary life in the misery of having everyone do her bidding, play along, listen to her, so she finds a man who doesn't want to do that and resists with all her might, and she is as happy as a child with ten candies instead of three. But the bottom line is that she shouldn't have had him, and it breaks her. But our precious Serena didn't know that at the end of her life she would get a treasure. A man who will not submit to her in any way. She gets him, but in fact it's he who gets her and then сuТs her throat.
It's like the fable of the donkey who spent his whole life learning to live without food and when he finally learned, he died

Eli and Mitch parallels...both of them catching Victor's eye because they have a "hidden side" and he likes that they don't align with what people think about them. Eli twisting himself into circles to justify the people he kills so he remains free from sin vs Mitch seeing himself as "cursed", implicitly taking responsibility for the deaths of the people around him even though he had no part of them. Do you see it do yuo see the vision

Interesting to note how both Victor's and Eli's powers help them reinforce their own self image.
Eli will have no physical imperfections, he will appear perfectly normal. No matter what he goes through, no matter his self-destructive behavior, his body will heal. Except for the scars on his back, those become a permanent reminder that there is indeed something wrong with him. Until his performance of normalcy becomes suspicious, and his unchanging features mark him once more as different.
Meanwhile Victor will never have to flinch in front of others. Now he can simply turn off his pain and ignore it. In any kind of struggle he can bring others down in pain before himself. It's convenient how Victor's power works based on his own line of sight. It's about his perspection of the world. Until this image of invincibility is shattered by his power turning on him. Now he is vulnerable again, once more at risk of falling apart in front of a crowd.

I don't get why people think Jude is the scary one. Have we read the same books? Cardan is terrifying!
We know Jude can be violent, BUT only if she needs to and only to those who deserve it. And you EXPECT it from her.
Cardan tho...you never know his next move. He can pretend to be stupid and naive and when you least expect it, he attacks.
I'm not scared of Jude, but Cardan terrifies me.

I can’t stop thinking about how when Cardan wanted to talk to Jude about the first time they got intimate and she quickly replies she just wanted to get it out of her system, Cardan asks her “Did you? Get it out of your system?”
But what he meant was “Did you get ME out of your system, because I can’t get you out of mine nor do I want to. I only fell in deeper.”
Her reply about wanting to just get it out of her system hurt him.
When he had said “This is a terrible idea.” as he was kissing her and taking of his shirt, he didnt mean terrible as in things are gonna get weird and akward between them. He meant this was going to rattle him to the bones. This was going to make him fall in deeper for her. This was a terrible idea for him because he knew she didnt reciprocate his feelings and HE was vulnerable and going to end up hurt. It was a terrible idea for HIM.

Apollo watches hour long YouTube video essays, he also tried to make them but ends up being distracted and is currently editing down 250 hours of footage on a video about the history of folk medicine and it's continued use in our modern day society.

If I could picture his face I might understand him better. My sweet haunted executioner, treating his victims as well he can lest they return as vengeful spirits, unable to be rid of the ones who's ire he's already earned

The phrase ‘and they were roommates’ finally finds its origin as two men enacting scientific war crimes rather than fuck one another, encounter a pair of sisters who need therapy, a dog that really just needs to go to a better home, and the most innocent cyber criminal slash hired muscle you’ll ever encounter. Watch as this group of people burn through a city that might as well be New York but possibly isn’t for legal reasons, and murder a bunch of innocent people who probably had it coming anyway because they were possessed by the devil- or at least that’s what the traumatised religious man keeps telling himself- anyway, join in on the rom com of the century as these two crazy kids prove you need a lot more than good chemistry to make a relationship work- you also need a defibrillator!
