It’s so much worse when it’s someone you love.

When someone you barely know tells you they don’t think being gay is morally okay, it’s fine. Rolls off the back like water off a duck.

When it’s someone you love… it hurts. Even when they tell you they still love you. That it doesn’t change how they view you. You know deep down there’s a part of you they don’t agree with.

Maybe I’m being over sensitive. Maybe they’re right when they tell me I should work on being less triggered by it. I can’t change people’s beliefs. It’s selfish of me to think everyone will accept me.

I am the same way. I find a few fictional men attractive, and the occasional masculine individual. But I don’t ever want to be with a man in any sense. I still identify as a lesbian bc my feelings for women are stronger than anything I’ve ever felt for a man, real or fictional. At the end of the day, sexuality isn’t black and white, so go with what works for you <3

So I’m very confused I suppose? I currently identify as a nonbinary lesbian. The nonbinary part isn’t the problem. It’s the lesbian part. I like fictional men and celebrity men, I also find masculine individuals attractive. However, I could never date a man, I could never marry a man or spend the rest of my life with one. I could see myself doing that with nonmen tho… This has left me feeling very conflicted in my identity and I’ve been second guessing myself. I’m sort of lost. Is this okay for a lesbian? Am I even one? Or am I something else? If so what? Any advice whatsoever will be quite helpful. Thx!
