The Genius of Douglas Bicicleta
Everything that’s cool. Everything you like, all the music, drugs, food, sex, religion, art, fresh air—all the things you would experience in your perfect day. Take all that and compress it, put it in the pressure cooker, and add just about every color capable of being seen by the human eye. Do that and you have Douglas Bicicleta’s work.
You know where else you can find everything you like? That’s right, the Cross Connect Facebook page. Why don’t you mosey over there now?

NeSpoon is a Polish street artist, known for its lace implementation in the urban space. She often uses the usual spray paint and stencils of enlarged lace patterns to produce her works on the street.
Beauty for her took the form of lace, mandala, an original ornamental motif that appears in the art of many cultures, not only in the tradition of Tibetan and Indian. It has a calm and symmetry, which we all instinctively looking for.

HYBYCOZO, or the Hyperspace Bypass Construction Zone, is a series of sublime, laser cut cosmic objects, ranging from a Burning Man art installation to design pieces for the home.
The project is inspired by the intersection of science, technology, maker culture in the Bay Area, and of course, the artists’ favorite book, Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. HYBYCOZO was designed by 2 San Francisco artists who are hoping to take their passion for design, technology, geometry, and installation art to the next level and expand it into thought provoking art and design.
Serge Beaulieu is an industrial designer whom recently led design at Fuseproject designing tech hardware, housewares, furniture and more. After doing stints at multiple design agencies, Serge is embarking on personal art and design ventures. Design/Lighting/Cozo
Yelena Filipchuk is an environmental scientist by trade and spent years studying natural patterns and bio-mimicry. She currently works at YouTube helping musicians and artists bring their content onto the platform.

Luke O’Sullivan (previously featured here) creates three dimensional art that brings the worlds of drawing and sculpture together. Inspired by dystopian science fiction films, O’Sullivan builds environments composed of peculiar buildings and subterranean lairs. Using textured façades as well as screen-printed surfaces, his latest series of works entitled “Cool Shelter” creates a fantastical scene of overworld and underworld labyrinths. The artist will present his latest series on Friday, July 24th at Paradigm Gallery in Philadelphia, PA. Hi-Fructose was invited to have a special exclusive preview into Luke O’Sullivan’s latest layered industrial landscapes.

Isaac Cordal’s “The School.”
Artist Isaac Cordal (Previously on Supersonic) recently completed his installation piece, “The School,” which features hundreds of hand made sculptures in a bizarre, science fiction-esque scenario. The individuals at the tables are all wearing lab coats, gloves and are humans but the individuals seeming in charge are skeletons. Questions arise as to just what is happening and what kind of school this may be as one looks on.
