Happy Anniversary!

On January 2nd, 2020 I was going around my day after new years like the usual days that passed by, that was until you sent me a message saying something along the lines of Taffy, I have something to say. 

My stomach twisted and turned as I asked you what was up

It was the moment you said I love you. It made me jaw-dropped as I read your message. I had to process what you said multiple times because it felt surreal. I thought that this guy, who I had crushed on 3 years ago from Omegle, suddenly remembers me and now is confessing he has feelings? Not going to lie, but that’s a girl’s dream come true in my book. I was stunned. I had to think of something fast to reply back, because I knew you’d be overthinking, so I came up with whatever came to mind first--which was what I physically felt at the moment. Hahaha, pretty lame response now that I think about it uwu

And reflecting about that now one year after, I realize how much more you mean to me since the day we first met, and how much more I appreciate getting to spend time with you everyday. 

What we went through wasn’t easy, the distance we endure when we feel longing, to the backgrounds we grew up in that influences how we interpret each other’s action. We cried, waited hours for one another, and got mad at certain points. But that didn’t stop us. We set pride and ego aside, talk things out even when we are very tired, and made up after getting proper and level-headed closure.

At the end of the day, we are rooted with care and love.

I never got this kind of feeling or experience with someone where I can totally be who I want to be and know I won’t be judged. You always held your arms wide open whenever I needed someone to listen, even when I don’t vocalize my negative emotions, you reach out and read me so well. It’s something I am still getting used to--being valued, cared, and genuinely loved for.

I have grown immense trust and respect for you. 

I have learned so much from our relationship, and have grown pure confidence in us. To the point that I came out to my mother about you, which I never thought I’d do in my entire life. Much more be introduced to someone’s mom as a girlfriend. It still makes me gush when I think about it heheh

You’re my blessing in disguise. I learned humility and honesty in a way I couldn’t have done on my own. It’s all thanks to you that you allowed me to practice communicating that way in our relationship.

You make me grow into a better person  and be the person who I want to be at the same time.  I’m thankful you give me the space and reason and for you being the first person to be ever so kind. You learn me as I learn me, same as how I learn you with certain things too. So my love, one thing I promise you with certainty, I will do anything for the day I finally get to hold you.

They say to you choose the person who you can still love even in dark days, and it certainly has been fulfilling to fix through every struggle together.

You are my ultimate number one human being. My soulmate. My best friend. And I say this with all honesty, that you are the one for me.

Thank you for being my person, Ash. Happy 1st anniversary! Cheers to more years in the future together!

I think this is the first song of Talking Heads you have sent me, and I swear on my life it’s like that song where you’ve heard your entire life but never knew what the title was or who sang it.

This gave me the vibes when I first heard the song Vienna by Billy Joel, it’s in movies but you never heard it anywhere else but movies hahah

The love shack is a little old place where We can get together 

Dating back to the times we were on Terraria for hours in a day. I remember the first project you gave me, which is to build a love shack and it took me maaaaaaaaaany days just to build hahaha. I remember playing this song as inspiration to make the shack pretty. Makes me kinda miss our bunny Mochi

And the fact you made me a love shack on Minecraft for Christmas makes me love this song so much more. This song has a special place in my heart.
