BOKUTO screams and runs out of the room. you spend hours chasing the bug around the house before catching it and putting it outside. my man can’t sleep when that thing’s in the house.

DAICHI takes the opportunity to show off his manliness and approaches the bug fearlessly, hopes you’ll be turned on by it and he’ll get lucky later.

SUGAWARA “don’t worry, i’ve got it sweet pea.” finds the bug and cups it in his hands before letting it go outside. “now where were we, princess?”

TANAKA just as scared as you are but pretends he’s not. he’d be killing the bug right now if you weren’t watching him so closely.

KAGEYAMA you point out the bug on the wall and he looks at you confused. “what am i supposed to do about it?” still doesn’t understand how the whole boyfriend thing works.

HINATA “don’t worry i’ve got it, Y/N!” jumps off the couch and smashes it with his palm and you almost burst into tears.

KENMA annoyed that there’s a bug crawling over his keyboard and flicks it away. he doesn’t believe in violence.

OIKAWA chases it around the house for a few short minutes before giving up. “i’m too pretty for this, go get it Y/N.”

IWAIZUMI rolls his eyes when you scream. ignores the bug and you can’t sleep for a week knowing there’s a spider in the house.

USHIJIMA squashes it with his fist then goes back to what he was doing. no change in expression.

“You know what, Iwa,” Oikawa spoke up randomly after practice one day, a grin on his lips. “I’ve just decided something.”

“What’s that?” Iwa asked half-assedly, barely paying attention as he packed up his things. He was exhausted and really in no mood to be dealing with Shitty-kawa’s insane ideas.

“I’ve decided that I’m going to help you find a girlfriend!” Oikawa’s eyes sparkled with the idea, grinning ear to ear as he looked at his best friend for approval.

Iwaizumi wondered if it was even worth arguing over at this point because realistically, he just wanted to go home and sleep until the very last minute he could before being late for school. He didn’t even bother refuting the insane idea, giving a dismissive wave to his friend as he let his mind drift to more important matters, like what he could stuff into his mouth when he got home before passing out on his bed.

But Oikawa took this dismissiveness as a go right ahead, squealing internally as he started to think up of his plans. Before long, the whole school was papered with stick figure drawings for a poster that loudly proclaimed AOBA JOHSAI BOYS’ VOLLEYBALL TEAM IN SEARCH FOR A VOLLEYBALL MANAGER! (PREFERABLY FEMALE AND SINGLE!). Even though it wasn’t the most artistic of posters, Oikawa prided himself on being able to get so many photocopies, each with specific instructions on where to get the application form, and where to come by for interviews.

“kenzō-kun, may i ask for a hug?” motoya asks while kneeling on the floor. it’s been awhile since suna brought his son with him and the libero misses the little guy so much! kenzō’s eyes twinkle before squirming in rintarō’s arms.

“alright, alright,” rintarō grumbles as he slowly places his son on the floor. “this is why i don’t want to bring him with me,” he added while watching his son wobble towards his teammate. “he like you more than me!” he complains.

komori laughs while carrying kenzō. “you like me more than papa?” he asked.

kenzō bobbed his head once earning a groan from rintarō. another round of laughter filled the changing room. your husband shook his head before leaving the baby’s bag on one seat.

rintarō walks towards the libero. “i’ll just change for a bit,” he says before ruffling his son’s hair. “behave, little monster.”

kenzō watched his father’s back until he leaves the room. everyone were calling his name, wanting to play with him, but he couldn’t take his eyes off the door where his father went.

komori tries to make him look the other way, but kenzō simply turns his head and stare at the door. nobody knows what’s running through his head at that time. he’s just. . . staring.

“komori-kun, he’s crying.”

komori’s eyebrows furrowed before discreetly looking at your son’s face. ‘ha! he’s definitely suna’s son!’ he thought. remembering those days when you suddenly distance yourself from rintarō.

“hey,” komori calls kenzō’s attention, but the kid refused to look at him. “papa will come back here,” he added. kenzō turn his head towards komori, his lips quivering and his nose were almost pinkish.

“a-pa. . .” kenzō sobs, rubbing his tiny fist against his eyes.

“he’s coming back soon,” komori says while soothing the sobbing child. “he won’t leave you here. your mom will kill him if he does.”

komori was comforting the little child when rintarō returns to the common room. washio taps rintarō shoulder and asked, “you’re still doubting that your son love you?”

rintarō briefly stare at his son, smiling. “of course not,” he says before approaching his son. kenzō immediately latches on his father as soon as he sees him.

how could he even doubt his son’s love for him?

When you had met Iwaizumi Hajime, he wasn’t the ace of Aoba Johsai, he wasn’t Oikawa’s best friend, or one of Kageyama’s upperclassmen in middle school. He was just Iwaizumi. Just a boy who made your heart swell in your chest, made you laugh for way too long and smile way too hard. He was the perfect distraction from schoolwork, someone you could be with and just forget everything that was around you.

But the more you got close with your own school’s volleyball team, the more you realized the connections between the two teams. You heard constant conversation about beating Aoba Johsai from Karasuno, while also hearing about defeating every team possible and going to Nationals from Iwaizumi. It wasn’t like he didn’t know you were a Karasuno student, he even knew you worked with the team. But the Karasuno boys’ volleyball team had no clue that every spare moment you had, you spent at Iwaizumi’s side. His hand in yours, off to new adventures, his lips pressed hastily against yours before either one of you was pulled away for whatever reason.

He was your own little piece of heaven. And you had wanted to keep it that way. You thought about telling the boys every now and then but always felt like something was keeping you from it… you weren’t scared per se, but maybe just nervous? But as the conversations in the gym became more and more about the Inter High preliminaries, you realized that the dreaded collision of your heaven and your reality might be coming sooner than you thought.

Before you knew it, day 2 of the Inter High preliminaries were here and the boys were just as tense and nervous as ever. They had ended yesterday on such a high note - two wins under the belt and their eyes looking ahead to many more. But the reminder of how quickly you could be sent home weighed so heavily in the air, everyone wearing a sullen look on their face.
