see the thing is… Chalamet is very much not ugly. Yeah whatever there’s memes abt him looking like an Italian shoe or whatever, but as someone who’s closely followed his fashion choices and his movies for nearly four years (which is also proof you can’t always pick your special interests), he’s very much conventionally attractive.

like. he has a ginormous international following, many which hinge on the fact they think he’s the most gorgeous thing in the world. which yeah, anyone can say that abt anybody, esp since I’m apparently I’m one of three people who thinks dane dehaan is gorgeous in the current day, but I’ve never heard major media make jokes abt his face. only people who regularly make fun of celebs.

furthermore, we don’t really NEED another white guy thats uber famous playing another marvel character. Do you know how many movies nowadays in the mcu are majorly star studded? They rarely feature nobodies or up and coming actors anymore. including chalamet would just add to the fact that the mcu is extremely superficial and it would make people turn their TVs off or go to that obscure horror film instead of whatever slop is coming from the mcu.

Although I don’t really care what Harry Osborn looks like (I’m big on “as long as they can do it and they’re the best fit, that’s who needs to play them”), I’d rather literally anyone else be him. Let a person of color play Harry. Let an unknown actor play him. Somebody ugly. Somebody handsome. At this point I’ll even take someone who took an acting class and thinks he can play Hamilton on Broadway over Chalamet or Joe keery or Glup Shitto the White Man. Just no more white boys of the month. please.

It is the cosmic law of things that Harry Osborn fans will be horrified by potential castings because every time they were codified by people who know nothing about him.
