Apple finally announced their new iPhone line-up for 2015, the iPhone 6S family, comprised of the iPhone 6S and its Plus version. Google is also expected to launch their new Nexus line-up with LG and Huawei on September 29, so this month is quite the time for cellphone upgrades.

Los Angeles is getting a new contemporary art museum, courtesy of billionaire philanthropist Eli Broad and his wife Edythe. Their free museum opens Sunday.
Surrounded by the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Music Center and the Museum of Contemporary Art, The Broad is already an architectural landmark, with its honeycomb-like exoskeleton.
“This shell of sorts, this light filter, this amazing sculptural structure … enrobes the museum,” says Joanne Heyler, the museum’s director and chief curator.
Traveling up through the middle of the building in the round, glass elevator you can peek inside what’s known as “the vault"— an entire floor storing the Broads’ collection of more than 2,000 paintings, photos and sculptures.

Apple iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus: all you need to know
It looks like ‘rose gold’ will be the new style trend for smartphone colors in the coming year. Dare make this forecast, because Apple has introduced the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, and with them, comes this new ultra-fashionable rose gold version. And while we can easily spend all day here staring at it, there’s much more to actually talk about, as Apple has made sure to pack its latest smartphones with tons of cutting-edge technology. Sorry, rosie, but we’ve got work to do!
LET’S START WITH THE ESSENTIALS
Essentially, Apple has come up with two new iPhones that look unapologetically similar to those of the previous generation, but at the same time, has managed to completely renovate them from the inside. And you’ll see what we mean once you get to the materials below. In terms of specs, a lot has changed – starting with the most obvious and expected improvement, which is the new A9 system-on-a-chip. The other, and possibly way more impactful addition is the new 3D Touch technology, which is built into the new 4.7" and 5.5" displays. While it may be a bit early to make any predictions about its success right now, we think 3D Touch (force-touch) has the potential to establish a whole new interface paradigm. It sure looks very cool

The invites are out: Google's Nexus and Android 6.0 event scheduled for Sep 29
Google is just sending invites for "some tasty new treats and much s'more" September 29th in San Francisco. It didn't say what will be revealed but based on the timing, we're thinking Android Marshmallow release, plus new hardware in the Nexus and Chromecast families? Recent leaks have pointed to Nexus phones from both LG and Huawei, while the Chromecast family may be expanding and getting rounder. Amazon and Appledebuted new devices for the TV this month, and we can't see the folks at Google/Alphabet letting that go without a response. Whatever desserts Google is bringing, we'll be there at 12PM ET / 9AM PT on September 29th to find out.

Robin. The smarter smartphone.
Kickstarter’s darling device, the Robin from Nextbit, now supports Verizon. Starting tomorrow on the official Robin Kickstarter page, you can pick up a US-only, Verizon-supporting Robin device, for the same pre-order price of $349. For those who get to the page super early, an early bird edition will be available for just $300, but the deal is limited to the first 300 backers.
Nextbit hit Kickstarter with a goal of $500,000, and thanks to countless attention from tech media, including us, they have shot well over their goal now sitting at over $1 million in backing.
You may be asking yourself, what the heck is a Robin? As of today, the device’s claim to fame is its cloud-focused storage. Instead of utilizing a microSD card, then inevitably running out of storage, Robin loads and offloads information, including applications, as it sees fit. It features storage that is “smart,” making way for things as you need it. For more detailed information on how this works, view the Kickstarter page linked below.
So, is a Robin that supports Verizon what you have been waiting for? Are you confident in backing it now?
