Ex loves and future deserters:  writing from some hotel room deep in seattle. Its amazing when friendship means more than magazines and money. The guys in panic showed up at our show in vegas after plus44 was forced to cancel due to family emergency. They played acoustic, as well as playing a blink song with mark. We got video of it all that should be surfacing on the internet soon. For the rest of the night it was us versus las vegas. Though the odds were bad. Things were great until the bowling began. Hopefully that video gets destroyed…

ok so a superduper boring update way to tl;dr on the inauguration as its going for me: my dad and sister are in town so it kind of makes up for missing the rest of my family. we played a show for mayor fenty the other night with t.i. and wyclef. needless to say its a bad call to play after t.i. cause pretty much everything he does is awesome. it was cool to be in the 930 club again though and the crowd was good. last night we snuck into a party that had actual real famous people at it. i shook michael j. fox’s hand. im a bit nervous to clean it because i think i might have stolen some of his magic. i think i weirded him out when i looked at him. like i gave him the look that was like “im way too into you and your movies”. oh well. it was rad for me. we also met lars from metallica- i thought about talking about trying to build a time machine back to when i was 14 to bring him back and meet me because “master of puppets” is one of my favorite records of all time. but i remembered that it was mj that knew all the time machine stuff. i decided not to bring it up so i wouldnt weird out another dude i think is cool. today we got up at 7am to head over to the inauguration itself. it turns out if you arent an actual celebrity or the president you can only drive ten feet in washington d.c. currently. so i guess it was good that i dressed in my “hoth” gear (shout out to pharrell on the boots. i knew these would come in handy in case i was ever stuck on an ice planet). it is like 14 degrees outside. we walked to the inauguration which may have been like 30 miles away or could have been like half a mile. im not sure because i havent really walked more than a mile since i stopped having to do it in gym class in highschool. it was probably good for me- friends dont let friends put on sympathy weight. we then tried to get close to watch it. thats kind of hard when there are literally two million people there. its like if you put every single warped tour ever next to the mall in dc and tried to walk through the crowd to meet gabe saporta. i kind of thought i was going to die for a minute (shout out to everyone who responds and with that line in quotes and says i wish he did… sorry, im sure there will be more chances). i then climbed a tree and watched it on the jumbotron. its awesome we were all there for such a bigger purpose. a true moment in history i will remember. it just felt good. maybe i kind of felt like an ewok too. im not sure if its too geeky to quote star wars twice in the same blog. but maybe its cool to be movie geeky. my wife held the phone up to the tv so we could hear the oath itself, so now i owe her sweet shoes or something. either way that was cool of her. me and andy then slid across a frozen pond and i wanted to chase the ducks. then marcus told me i would probably fall through and drown or be “that dude” that ruined a great day for everyone. probably true (death chance number 2, dont worry ill keep em coming). i then bet justin 20 dollars that our hotel was to the left not the right. i then cheated and google mapped it and changed the bet to 100 dollars. its awesome. i think im going to have him pay it back in starbucks. he currently owes me 95 dollars (he took the above picture. im gonna round up for him). we are playing the “youth ball” one of the balls that is thrown in the honor of the president. its at the washington hilton (the hinckley hilton- i dont think thats really something thats advertised). there was a girl there who was nice enough to give us a tour of the “secret” areas. it wasnt as insane as i thought it would be from like national treasure or whatever. or maybe she thought i was insane. every room we went in id be like “does that door go underground to the whitehouse” and shed be like “no, its a closet”. then id open it and it was always a closet. anyway, its been a blast so far. everyone is smiling and having a good time. EDIT due to the boredom i am suffering because my wife wont i-chat with me right now: is it lame to wear an obama shirt on the day he becomes president? like is that the ultimate “dude youre wearing the shirt of the band thats playing to the show” move? also, my finger is still repulsive and massively swollen looking. i think it may have mercury poisoning too. AH. oh and ktc took a picture of the ewok village: http://twitpic.com/156g6  go over there and ask him how awesome it is to just sit in my pool house and smoke weed and listen to gangster rap all day. because im pretty sure thats what hes up to. barack obama’s car looks like it could drive over a tank like a monster truck rally. they should have sent those things to iraq or maybe just have not had a war or whatever. stop talking pete. ok. miss you. p

for those who believed that it was a fake in the cobra video…. i might bring this shit back, its so trashy. i love the mullet and stache, for real in a not ironic way.
