Little Keigo who turns into a porcupine every time he's upset and scared and all his feathers sharpen out as he curls into a ball and no one can handle him so he just shakes and cries in a corner all by himself... until the day little Touya reaches out.

Careful hands grasping against all his sharp edges as Touya tries to comfort him—becuase Touya will be a hero, he isn't scared of any cuts or pain, he just wants to get to the distressed little bird.

Only as soon as his warm hands brush up against those sharpened feathers, they go down soft and all he has is a small nip in his hand and Keigo's eyes as wide as the sun as he peers through those parted feathers and Touya pets at him softly.

And Keigo, who thought he didn't deserve anything in a world where he was born into a broken family that couldn't keep itself together within the shabby walls that creaked at every blow of the wind thinks... maybe everything wrong in his life was so he could have Touya.
