Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Concept to Include Dual Rear Camera and Snapdragon 835 SoC

We’ve uncovered some new information suggesting the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 concept will be better than ever sporting dual rear cameras, Qualcomm’s newest 835 SoC, and a 6.2-inch display. The latest leaks out of South Korea suggests Samsung’s holding nothing back which makes the most sense considering the public perception which needs to be changed. 

According to Smartphone Android, the Galaxy Note 8 concept will feature dual rear cameras which will be the 1st of its kind in a race to beat Apple with the same rumored in the iPhone 8 concept. 

Other information on the Note 8 include a 6.2″ QHD display, 6GB RAM, and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 SoC. A fingerprint scanner will also be seen on the rear just like the Galaxy S8. but expect to see the focus on the iris scanner. 

Samsung intends on expanding eye sensing technology to go beyond keeping the phone itself secure and will be used heavily with Samsung Pay and other mobile payment gateways.

Xiaomi Mi6 Tops iPhone 7 Specs at Half the Price

Over the years, the changing of the guard with smartphones have seen huge changes with manufacturers like Apple, Samsung and Xiaomi. Years ago, there were two giants across the globe which have since been replaced in emerging markets with lower cost, higher end smartphones from the likes of Xiaomi and other start-ups. 

The Xiaomi Mi6 was just released in China, and coming in at 1/2 the price of flaghships such as the iPhone 7 and Galaxy S8 we’re seeing huge comparisons with each. The Mi6 comes in with a US price tag of about $350 which is more than half the price of high-end smartphones from Apple and Samsung. 

So why such a huge price difference you ask? Well, we’re asking the same questions and when you break down the Mi 6 and iPhone 7, Xiaomi’s flagship boasts much better specs. 

The Xiaomi Mi6 is only the third handset to feature the new Snapdragon 835 SoC which was seen alongside a slew of high-end features during the April 19th unveiling in China. The Mi6 will also sport a dual camera feature, 6GB RAM, four sided 3D glass, 3350 mAh battery, and will be available in both 64 and 128 GB models. 

Xiaomi has become more popular than Apple products in emerging markets across Asia and India where they will be looking to expand production the coming years. In India, the Mi6 will launch sometime in May and is expected to be priced at RS23999.

It’ll be interesting to see what Apple has in-store for us with the upcoming iPhone 8 which is expected to launch this September. One thing’s for sure, Apple had better do something big as Xiaomi is not the only one out there that’s making quite a splash.

Samsung Launches the New Galaxy S8 with an Infinity Screen

The long-awaited Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus debuts today in the US as Samsung is the first to launch a smartphone with a true infinity screen. The wait is finally over as all of the top cell carriers have officially released both versions of the S8 which is being highly regarded as having the best display ever seen.
