The first draft of Together was submitted and registered with the WGA in 2019, which was an entire year before the roles for 'better half' were offered to Allison Brie and James Franco in 2020.

'Oh but they could have changed it later since 'Together' was released in 2025 and 'Better Half' was released in 2023'. Also no. The Australian government gave the go ahead to help fund filming for indie projects in 2020. Guess what was on that list with an included synopsis thats absolutely consistent with the present film? Together

There is also the fact that the lawsuit claims 'Together' is a blatant rip off in every sense, including 'mood' which is completely incorrect. 'Together' is a horror movie. Indeed a very FRIGHTENING horror movie. 'Better Half' is advertised as a romcom, which is its label on its imdb page

There's no theft here! The idea of people's bodies fusing together has been around for a WHILE. Hell the way I got interested in 'Together' in the first place was when people told me it was 'that one creature from The Thing but a whole movie'. The fact that the creators of 'Better Half' filed a lawsuit for plagerism does not make it true.

I know I'm probably kicking all sorts of hornets nests right now, but I hate seeing people shit on this movie because of this! I'm willing to admit the possibility that I could be wrong. I don't know everything. But Im thinking the chance of me being wrong is very, very small.

Am I the only one who feels spoiled by reading Tamora Pierce as a child and then never finding something that hit quite the same? She really had it all. One of the only authors I’ve seen do multiple generations well (because the previous generations aren’t just offed or all of their progress backtracked). Ambient vs scholarly magic systems is still one of the coolest magic systems to this day. The friendships are perfect and just the right amount of romance to make it fun. Redemption stories that fit the characters and don’t make them perfect angels even as they grow for the better. Tragic regression stories that haunt the characters (and me).

You know, for a long time I thought the statements about Thorin calling gold their joint treasurer with Bilbo were somewhat far-fetched, but then I thought and... But it's true. It makes sense. In the sense that he calls not only people traitors, but also his own relatives. He suspects everyone. Except for Bilbo. That is, in the midst of his illness, when greed makes Thorin want to start a war, he gives Bilbo a chainmail that is second only to Arkenstone in value. Of course, you could argue that when he says "ours," he means himself and his dark side. But even so... I think if Bilbo's deception hadn't been discovered, or if Bilbo had given him the stone, Thorin would have definitely... wanted to live with the gold and with Bilbo. Because it was all his. Also, look at how Bilbo is literally highlighted in gold in this scene.

In the genderswap AU Bilbo's (Bella/Bilba/whatever you prefer) sass and wit would get her into trouble, and she'll be more likely to get injured/someone in the company injured (and thats how she'll learn to not always say what's on her mind) BUT her personality would charm Thorin and the company faster!
