I really like the scheming of Song Han. The way he dealt with An Su’s brother…. crazy. I just wish he didn’t have to be Song Mo’s enemy 😔
#the only redemption arc I really wanted#while I was okay with dou Ming not being a bad person I didn’t really care enough#but I really wanted song han to pick the right side#blossoms#cdrama#but I guess that the way song Han dealt with an ping was further foreshadowing of his lack of familial ties#further showcasing the irreparable gap between the song brothers

I can’t tell if it’s better for a company to have many artists or just a select few.
For instance we have gmmtv with an abundance of actors/actress but a really poor distribution of screen time for the individuals/ships.
Then on the other hand we have memindy which only has two fixed ships and nine actors/actresses so we only see a limited amount of works from them all from the same ships.
I mean it works because I’ve not hated a memindy show but it also means there are large gaps between production releases compared to GMMTV.
On the other side we have star hunter ent. which has a lot more actors/actresses than memindy but not as much as GMMTV. And even then we get limited series from Star Hunter but a lot more ships to capitalize off of + a wider variety and more possibilities for more shows. Only downside is star hunter is a little lax in promotions of shows. But they’ve give us some good ones (sunset X vibes, city of stars) and upcoming ones like (time zone).
Truly I can’t tell which model I prefer but it is interesting seeing how all these different entertainment companies move (not even mentioning domunditv which truly is a post of its own).

I have not watched or read the synopsis for “The Legend of The Female General” mainly because I don’t want to compare it to the books before it even comes out. But I am really interested to see if the drama will follow closely behind the novel or if there will be changes. Additionally, interested in how they plan to deal with the rebirth aspect of the storyline re:censorship. I wonder if they will pull a “The Story of Minglan” where they follow the book down to the T but just ignore the rebirth part. But unlike Minglan, He Yan’s rebirth storyline in the plot is integral to her character. I’m typing all this before I read the synopsis and then I’ll go read it and see.
Post Reading the Synopsis :
Okay so they are doing the whole new identity thing. Will they do a classic costume magical face swap? Or is it that her girl face and her boy face is extremely different. Except I’m pretty sure in the novel she genderbends AGAIN to get back into the military so does no one recognize her face? It will be really interesting to see how they go about playing with the storyline without the rebirth. Either way I’m excited to see Zhou Ye again and getting to know Cheng Lei since I’ve never seen any of his dramas. I’ll come back after the drama finishes airing to see how it ends up turning out.
Once again we are in the dilemma of “can the show live up to the prestige of the novel?”
#the legend of the female general#Zhou ye#novel adaptions#the woes of coming from a preexisting work#Cheng Lei#I didn’t care for everyone loves me so I’m excited to try another Zhou ye drama#cdrama#tones rant

I am officially all in on Desire.
Yes, of course, love our little blorbo Gao Tu, and want Shen Wenlang to go through about 20 levels of suffering to prove he deserves him, but truly, the absolute best part is this man:

Hua Yong is an insidious manipulative little bastard, and I love him so!!
He is the absolute worst, which in my book, makes him the best.
And what I particularly adore is how the series plays with the traditional tropes in a typical BL. Hua Yong is playing the part of the perfect uke, he's sweet and kind and helpless and needs his big strong seme to come fix things for him, though of course he would never directly ask for help (he doesn't want to be any trouble, after all).
But it's all a mask for the real and deeply dangerous person lurking underneath.
It's perfection.
Sheng Shaoyou is so screwed.
This, this, is the kind of part I think someone like Cooheart, or Fluke Natouch, could absolutely nail, if someone would just see the potential. Take someone who's spent years conditioning us all to see them as the cute & innocent uke, and then let them dom the entire narrative, and their love interest.
#no because I would kill for this character played by cooheart#I NEED IT#cooheart top when?#desire the series#cooheart#bl
