Prayer to Aphrodite for safe travels
Day one of the devotion challenge for Aphrodite :)
O Shining Aphrodite,
May you bless my travels with your light
And keep my heart open
To friends and strangers alike.
May all I do be done in the name of Love.
Beautiful Aphrodite,
With your radiant smile
Bless me with the confidence to be kind
and charm to last a while.
O Heavenly Aphrodite,
I sing your praises my lady.
I love you,
Stay with me
Blessed be.

Daily Blessings
The Morning Blessing
A simple bit of salt water, wash your hands, feet and face with it while praying:
I wash myself of the hatred of my enemies, the wrath and thievery of rich men, may my body, my mind, my soul and being be protected against those who would seek to harm me by thought, by mind, by speech, by spell, by eye, by intent or by any and all actions. Amen.
To Close oneself off from the Evil Eye
The magus, when buttoning the shirt, tying the shoes, tying up the hair, zipping the pants etc. says:
I close myself off from evil eye, evil words, evil deeds, evil actions, evil spells, all things of my enemies that they send against me to plague me and mine, in mind, body and spirit, by this incantation - it shall not pass to me or mine but shall be blocked and be bound against its sender. Amen.
(Inspired by the Works of Natasha Helvin)
During the Bath
The magus washes themselves from the head downwards with simple water while praying:
May my mind, body and soul, my being, be purified of all evil through magic, and my form united to that of divine energy and peace. Amen.
Thereafter, let them wash themselves with a floral or clean smelling soap, some soaps have specific herbs in them that may be useful but in doubt, something such as a floral soap like rose or lavender will always be good. Washing themselves, they say:
Anoint my body with scent, that goodness and joy may follow me all the days of my life. Amen.
When In doubt
The magus can say a prayer to the Blessed Mistress Hekate when they're at a point where they need to make a decision. Another spell is to take the following prayer:
And though I walk through the Valley of the Shadow of Death, I will fear no evil, for you art with me, your rod and staff comfort me, your Word are as a lamp to my feet.
Thereafter, focusing on their question. The answer shall come. The latter can be said over a white candle and lit.
For Protection Against Evil Eye
Draw the sign of the cross on the palate with the tongue. Sign the cross over the self. Do the Mano Cornutto, or the Mano Fico, in the pocket. Spit three times Touch wood or touch a piece of iron In a hushed voice, say: May the same be unto you (when you feel as though someone's compliment has envy) Keep a bottle of blessed olive oil and anoint your head and the base of your neck when you feel off. Keeping a clove of garlic that has been blessed in the name of Saint Michael the Archangel Keeping an image of Saint Michael the Archangel, stepping on the D'vil.
Prior to Rituals
Take a blessed water such as khernips and anoint the self three times. On the head saying: May my mind be pure, my thoughts and will strong and my intents sincere
On the Lips: May my speech, my words, my mouth and expression be made pure.
On the Chest: May my spirit, my body and being be made pure.
Another For Answers
If you have a decision or a question and need to find an answer. Go to your altar or the central hearth of your home and beseech the Fates, the Norns, to reveal to you through a Rune, the answer to your question. Give a small blot then leave your home. Do not speak to anyone well you are walking. Pay attention to signs and symbols, the rune may appear in the form of a branch on the floor, a crack, it may appear in the bark of a tree or you may see an image of someone standing in a position that seems similar to a rune. Upon finding the rune, you will give thanks, go home without looking back then write down your findings.

Khernips: an important ritual in Hellenic practice
Miasma can be described as the lingering aura of impurity that can be accumulated from living a day to day life.
When approaching the Gods you’re meant to purify yourself of miasma. This is when the khernips ritual comes in handy for us.
Making khernips or lustral water is fairly easy and it takes about 5 minutes
Tumblr media
What you’re gonna need:
a bowl of water
a pinch of salt
a purifying herb of your choice (i usually use a bay leaf or a twig of rosemary)
a lighter
How to do it:
grab the bowl of water and add the salt
light the herb on fire, but don’t burn it all the way
extinguish it in water.
when dropping the herb in water you may say “Xerniptosai” (pronounced zer-nip-tos-ah-e, meaning “be purified”)
wash your hands, and while doing so you may say “Kherniptomai” which means “i wash with lustral water”
Sprinkling the area can also help with cleansing your space. When you’re done you can store the lustral water in a spray bottle for later use, or give it as an offering. I usually do the khernips ritual on a new moon before Deipnon. If you’re in the broom closet, taking a cleansing bath/shower will do the job.
Hope this helps! 🌙

I might have gone out of my way and made a Google Doc with every book and notable study I’ve ever used to learn more about Greek and Roman Ancient religious practice.
It should be available via this link: 🌞
This document will be updating gradually. I only add books I have personally read or at the very least looked into. Website links and most of classical literature are omitted as I believe these sources are more or less easy to find. Links to free sources are added to the books that exist in free access.
The split into topics is relatively loose as many books cross-reference and touch on more topics that one.
Please, read the after-table comment.

My beautiful Apollo,
I am grateful that you are always by my side. When the sun's rays hit my face, I close my eyes and smile, as if you were caressing my face with your warm hands.
You are extremely beautiful...

Last night i did a little devotional for new moon.
I made this candle for Apollon & Artemis and did some manifestations and prayers.
During the day i bathed in the North sea and thanked Poseidon for letting me cleanse myself in his waters.
It was an amazing day 🙏

Apollo is when you’re a child carelessly running through a sunlit field; the grass is warm under your bare feet and it’s so tall it tickles your arms - and everything feels so alive, and you’re dizzy from the heat. The flowers around you smell sweet, and the chirping of songbirds overwhelms your feelings. You fall down on your back, nearly tripping over from excitement, and you roll down the warm flowered hill until there’s tiny pecks of blooming buds in your hair, and your clothes are wrinkled from the movement; a deep, happy sigh leaves your lips - there’s soft, deep buzzing above you, and you can’t tell if it’s the bees or the vibration of thick, heavy summer air. You look up, excited as every child is, eager to swallow the world up in one deep breath - and you feel alive.

A prayer.
Artemis,
Lady of the Starry Night.
Ruler of the Land and the Moon so Bright.
Walk with me and lead me.
Teach me your Ways of Light.
Cleanse my soul of hate and shadow.
Teach me how to care.
Your animals, your trees, your streams all laugh in your Delight.
Help me, guide me to protect them with all my might.
Teach me patience and kindness, please give your blessing to my work.
May my life-long dedication to your Grace be sufficient.
May you find my heart, my soul, my mind, my body an Elysium, a Heaven for you Goddess.
