Fire and Night, Two Killers Delight
105 posts
Bahram and Sabrael, twin children of the Dragon Duke, and the Princess of Gehenna, born from a love which began as mere politics. Having been born to a world where the mixed blood in their veins is cause for contempt, their loyalties remain solely to their families, and each other. (Indepentent two-muse OC blog)

Sabrael made a bit of a sound and nearly tackled her brother, fanning out her wings to shield the both of them from the sudden gust of air and little demons. Once they had finally passed them by, she sat up slightly irritably, the feathers on her wings puffed out and fluffy.
“I’m fine. But now my feathers are all ruffled.” To say nothing of her dark hair, which she promptly smoothed out as she peered into the cave.
“Doesn’t sound like there’s anything else in there, and I don’t see anything.” It had been a sudden surprise, but hadn’t dampened her enthusiasm for the adventure. “Come on, are we going to get going then, or what?”
Family Ties
“Mmh.” Sabrael hated it when her brother talked like that. As if she weren’t a half dragon, too. Sure it was unlikely, but dragons were an ancient race, like their father and grandmother said so often. Surely it wasn’t entirely unfeasible if they were there in the ancient times.
She made a face when her brother lit up a torch. Fire and light messed with her night vision, he knew that. Now he was just being stubborn! She crossed her arms and squinted into the darkness. Surely dragon fire would be enough to clear them. However, she had acquired most of her attributes from her Nechrium side,  and her magic in anything but potions was weak compared to her brother’s. She looked to Bahram, eyebrow raised.
“Well, brother? Can you manage it?”

They are so cute here :3 This chapter is amazing, and it’s broke my heart (TT_TT), I think I’ll color every page of it. Seriously.

"... Yes mother," she sighed, allowing her chin to be lifted but avoiding meeting her mother's gaze. She pressed into her mother's side, tail now curled around her leg. "... I still want father to come home soon." The mutter escaped her softly.
"Why does father always have to be with uncle Iblis, mother?" Sabrael leaned against side of her mother, her brother at the other. "He can advise him from at home, can't he? Can't you make uncle Iblis let him do that?"
“I could,” Elealeth chuckled, petting her daughter’s head absently. “But then your uncle would be holding court in the house, and that would cause all sorts of trouble.”
