horrible (and by horrible i mean wonderfully painful for the characters) story idea: a bunch of people all trapped in a pocket dimension by some sort of malevolent entity as punishment for some wrongdoing. because of the nature of what got them trapped, they’re all selfish/ruthless/violent/treacherous in some way, and so they’re practically doomed to end up all fighting and killing each other (whether over limited resources, or any form of hardship the entity may throw at them)

but here’s the thing: its a timeloop. the entity they pissed off gets to watch in schadenfreude as they all choke each other out over and over and over again, doomed to forget and then repeat the cycle of violence.

they’re never allowed to truly learn anything or grow as people. if they just didn’t kill each other, they wouldn’t forget, time wouldn’t loop, and this eternal hell wouldn’t continue. but that will never be the case, simply because of who they all are as people.

im spinning this in my brain rn. tagging as whump bc i think there’s a lot of potential for torturing characters here, and i think u guys might get a kick out of this idea

im just gonna embrace the fact that what I really enjoy isn’t writing fanfiction OR original fiction— I really just like writing fanfiction with the serial numbers filed off

its the best of both worlds! i get to play around with the stories and dynamics i already like, AND there’s no pressure to make my characterizations or anything lore accurate!

see the problem is all my ocs exist simultaneously in like three different constantly-changing stories and thats been the case for years so i dont think its ever rly gonna stop being the case

but i should probably just start writing and accept its never gonna be consistent or else i’ll just never write anything (bc any attempt to turn it into a consistent coherent story lasts at most a month before i get bored and change it up again)

so i might as well just let the stories exist in a vague multiverse situation!

DREME 10TH ANNIVERSARY WHUMP EVENT

Ten years ago, I played Final Fantasy 1. I made four characters: a monk, a thief, a red mage, and a white mage. Two of the four, the monk, Drusus, and the thief, Keme, caught my eye and I grew to fall in love with them and their characteristics.

And thus. My love of OC making began.

And here I am, still loving these two dorks. So to celebrate, why not have a whump event to celebrate!

This event runs August 10-16 2025! However, you're more than welcome to join in now or much later!

Often you will see authors say ‘I do not condone the contents of this fictional story’ at the start. well that is just nonsense, I think torturing beautiful men against their will and cannibalism is pretty based and fully condone it

“I’m not afraid of you.” With a slight tremble in their voice, glancing around the room for an escape route. An obvious lie. <- obsessed. i love characters trying to hide the fact they’re scared, and absolutely sucking at it but trying anyway because maybe their bluff won’t be called. Bonus points if whoever they’re talking to doesn’t even want them to be afraid.

“I’m not afraid of you.” Snarled with defiance, teeth bared <- Good! A classic.

“I’m not afraid of you.” Whispered with awe, expression tender <- I need more of this. Now.

hi! ^^ you can call me Eti or Ren (or apparently now Daffodil bc i didnt know what to call this blog lol)

I like writing and making up stories and characters, and lately im trying to just focus on being more self-indulgent without worrying about what other people will think. A lot of my writing tends to be basically just fanfiction with the names switched out, so fair warning there.

I like whump and angst especially, so i’ll probably be posting some whump tropes and prompts I like, alongside just anything about storytelling, my ocs, and maybe even my actual writing if I can work up the courage!

this is a sideblog, my main blog is @renaithri (which at this point is about 50% minecraft roleplay and 50% mental illness), so i’ll be liking and following from there ^^
