there are sooo many shrimpo x (anyone) fanfics where shrimpo has a crush on them from the beginning and is in denial and I get it can be fun but omggg you guys. there are like a million more creative more interesting things to do

i want him to actually really hate them but grow to love them over time

i want him to start under a barrier of emotionless anger but then someone helps him and lets him learn to love

i want him to learn and grow and change and figure out how to experience emotions he maybe wasnt allowed to experience when gardenview was open. if you think about it theres a lot of things you can do with the concept that he was a JOKE character especially if you decide that he was also a joke character in universe. maybe in order to keep his “funny” blindly raging personality he was taught to bury any other emotions or reactions he felt and was taught to only respond with anger. maybe it wasnt really his fault because this is what he was taught to do. Maybe its the only thing he knows how to do. maybe when he gains a crush on (whoever) he doesn’t know how to handle those emotions because he’s never felt anything like that before. maybe he wasnt allowed to bond with anyone in a positive way. maybe this is the first time anyone else has ever seen him as a real person and not as a living joke.

Shrimpo is bigender & masc presenting for the most part but would like to be more feminine :3 (uses she/he/they)

I also hc her as being demiromantic, meaning I think they would have to have a strong emotional connection with the other person before he starts developing romantic feelings !

Shrimpo is DEFINETLY neurodivergent (i hc him as borderline personality disorder and autistic but i rlly like seeing other ppls hcs too :3 anything is cool!)

He doesnt rlly like physical affection (hes not rlly used to affection in general tbh, but his skin burns when ppl touch it (Allodynia due to his species + dehydration causing his skin to be rlly dry/basically like having a bad sunburn but forever unless she drinks the right amount of water.)(source: i just had a really bad sunburn and i realized it was actually a pretty good desc for how i imagine shrimpo would work lol))
