Y’all, please help Hassan’s family reach their goal. They’re so, so close and time is running out. Hassan’s videos on tiktok are mortifying and so heartbreaking, I haven’t been able to stop crying. They’re $2.5k away from their goal, imagine $2.5k being all that’s between your family from safety once the border opens. Please, please help them, $1 or $5 makes a difference when we show up in numbers.

i don’t have any followers but i’m making this in the hopes that it gets some traction. mariam, a 13-year-old girl, and her family of nine (9) members are so, so close to reaching their goal and fleeing from gaza. as many of you already know, the ground invasion of rafah has started weeks ago despite the us and the uk’s bogus threats to stop supporting the occupation if it attacks the last strip of land in gaza, which is housing over 1.4 million palestinians in horrifically inhumane conditions.

jennifer, the family friend organizing the gofundme, posted an update today saying if 4500 people donated $5 usd each, mariam’s family can reach their goal. they’re almost there and they need anything you can afford to give them, $5 or less or more. please donate if you’re in the position to, any amount counts.

i know times are rough, we’re all living paycheck to paycheck and it’s beyond dystopian that the poorest of us are the only ones with the compassion and humanity to help those in need in palestine, but this is unfortunately the reality we live in. there are thousands of other families who desperately need the help. mariam’s is one of them and they’re so close to their goal.

A message from Saeed Al-Err, the Palestinian who runs the only animal rescue shelter in the Ghazzah strip.

Those aren't clouds behind him. That's a plume of smoke from a bomb, which is shown at the end. The dog also seen at the end was the one Motaz and his colleague rescued and brought to the shelter (was seen by a vet today).

As of January 9th 2024, he is asking for people to urge international organizations to get cat and dog food into Ghazzah, or any efforts whatsoever to try and get food for the animals in his care and in the ownership of many Palestinians. Here's the google docs link with the email format to copy and paste and the emails and phone numbers of the people to contact for this urgent appeal. Please hurry. He doesn't have much food left for the animals.

i’m not sure how many people this will reach, but i hope you can take the time to read this and donate however little you can to help these incredible people who dedicate their lives to taking care of orphaned children in rural uganda.

the putticare foundation uganda does not have access to gofundme in uganda but their spokesperson in the uk has set up the fund and they only have $4k out of their 20k goal.

if you want to be sure your donation reaches real people instead of putting your trust into the likes of the red cross and the united nations who continuously and publicly misuse funds and deprive people in need from the donations made for them, then this is a good way to start.

there are so many likewise groups helping children and families in need all over the global south, and i’m sure everyone is struggling with being unable to do more when crises in palestine, sudan, congo, etc. are so heavily ignored by western governments. at least by supporting local groups run by and for people in need, you can have the peace of mind of knowing your money is really helping where you want it to.
