I found their drawings. Decay is clearly labeled, Impulse is the other one. Weird shit but I wanna develop them

My blog name origin

When I was a teenager I was pretty disturbed. I had nightmares of creepy, abnormal shit. Dark.

At some point I started to develop these two characters related to my issues. It escalated to the point where I didn’t know if they were entities that followed me or just my imagination. I eventually abandoned thoughts of them. But recently memories of them surfaced.

The first was Impulse. I still have my oringal drawing of Impulse. Impulse is something that would tell me what to do, thus his name. I call him he just because that feels natural. He would tell me what to do, when, where, but never why. He controlled my impulses frequently. The people I told about him were not a fan. I spoke about him a lot for a short time. Impulse was roughly 7 feet tall, and had a large, owl like body, with a lot of dark moss like material on him. Much of it hung around his neck and head. His head was not an owls, it looked something like the decayed skull of a canine and deer fused together. No lower jaw, as he stoke via telepathy. His voice could be understood, but did not sound like anything on this Earth, and did not speak a known language. He was harsh. He scared me.

The second is Decay. Decay has been called a lot of things, he, and they. Sometimes it. I don’t know what Decay is. They don’t like to be called “it”. I learned that over time. Anyway. They always had somewhere to go, someone to get too. They often mumbled “I still love you” or “I’m coming” as they shambled along. Decay seemed to be a hopeful being, but had a dark history I never unraveled. I felt pity for Decay, but also a deep fear of what would happen if they ever made it to where they were going. Decay looked a bit like a dog, but didn’t quite have the same anatomy. Rotten, emacieted, and well.... decaying in every way. I believe Decay spoke through telepathy as well. But spoke clearly. Their voice didn’t sound high, nor low, yet was almost both at the same time. I am looking for their drawing.

Later, I was diagnosed with Bipolar disorder type one. And I like to think that Impulse represents mania, while Decay represents depression.

I plan to turn these two into characters I can vent with. Maybe more. Maybe less. But, I’ll be posting their pictures very soon.

Tea/Coffee Readings

How To

You need to find a cup with a wide brim that’s light in colour, find a wide saucer. Pour in lose tea leaves/coffee (you can buy loose tea leaves or rip open a tea bag) into you cup and add boiling water (Do Not add milk) Drink your tea/coffee while thinking about your question, if you dont like tea/coffee take a few sips. When you are finished drinking take the cup in your dominant hand and place your non-dominant handover the top of your cup. Turn the cup tree times in a clockwise direction. Pour any remaining water down the sink. Place the cup upside down on the saucer or a napkin and turn it clockwise three times, turn the cup over look for the leaves that have taken shapes. When you have finished your reading it is customary to turn your cup over, place your index finger on the base of your cup and make a wish

Meanings  You can twist and turn the cup for new angles to find symbols in your cup, the closer the symbol is to the rim of the cup the sooner it will happen. the further down the longer it will take, tea reading can only predict up to a year. symbols at the bottom of your cup will take almost a whole year to take effect. “Wither • 9” x 12” • gouache, watercolor, and colored pencil on paper⁣ ⁣ My solo show “Ornamental” opens tonight, 6-9PM, at @gallerynucleus in LA alongside @nicodelort’s show “Azure”⁣ ⁣ Ornamental explores the pervasiveness of exotic ornamental plants in gardens and neighborhoods, their displacement of native plants and wildlife habitat, and the arbitrary value judgements that arise when our understanding of the species around us is uprooted from any meaningful relationship with local ecology.⁣ In the work, beloved varieties of ornamental plants are viewed alongside the bodies of the few animals that are able to subsist within our sterile and carefully curated yards and urban spaces. Their corpses interrupt wallpaper-like compositions and dangle amid the blossoms like perverse decorations.⁣ As the pieces for this show came together I moved into a house with a yard and began gardening for the first time. Informed by our attempts to convert this neglected rental property into the start of a native plant garden and wildlife habitat, these paintings are part tribute to the melancholy beauty of the dying, pest-ridden plants that have come into my care, and part condemnation of the mindset of control and colonization that permeates the way we shape the stolen land we live on in our choices of what to sow and who to poison.“
