Saw your request for kl headcanons🤩. The thing that makes me soo soo soft is them as dads🥰. They spoil their babies rotten and they are so well brought up and so so loved.

Aww, I agree. Both would try so hard to be the best parents and really connect with their kids. Here are some headcanons!

- When they were first about to adopt their first kid, Lance and Keith couldn’t agree on a name. It took fifty games of rock, paper, scissors to decide until they both realized they liked the other one’s suggestion better.

- The first time Keith held their child, he couldn’t stop crying. Lance wanted to laugh at him, but then he rembered how lucky he was to be raising a child with the love of his life and started crying, too. The adoption agency reps were happy for them, but were slightly alarmed when the crying continued for fifteen minutes.

- Lance loves to put their kid on his shoulders and sprint across the house. He tripped on a rug once and tossed the child into the air before catching them like football and protecting them from the floor. Keith’s soul left his body that day.

- A lot of people assume Lance tells most of the bedtime stories cause of his dramatic flair, but it’s actually Keith. He loves recounting the fun times Voltron had and even the few treasured moments he had with his own dad.

- Hide and Seek is a life-or-death situation at their house. Lance has been known to cram himself into a tiny storage cupboard for hours just so he scare the shit of whoever is the seeker.

- Lance is 100% the nagging parent, always making sure his kids have their homework done, have their lunchboxes before they get on the bus, and eat properly before leaving the house. He also doesn’t let them leave until he gives them a kiss on the top of their heads.

- Keith is the chill parent who isn’t above helping his kids sneak a few snacks from downstairs before dinner. But when he gets mad, the kids know they messed up big time. Lance usually helps diffuse the tension in the house, and soon, the whole situation blows over.

- Keith had a terrible fear of being a bad father, especially since he lacked a real parental influence for much of his life. But after the first week with his first child, he knew that he could never love anyone as much as the family he had built from scratch, and he knew he wanted to extend that family to a few more members.
