I genuinely don't know if our school made a mistake but I think it's incredibly fucked that they start a prayer circle activity by showcasing clips of the war that's apparently "happening in Israel". And I kid you not I had to do a double take to see if they really put "war in Israel".

Remind me again where the genocide is happening? Remind me again what country is actively being bombed by the Israeli government? Remind me again which groups of people are being actively ethnic cleansed by fucking colonisers?

I think that them emphasizing Israel is a showcase of their lack of empathy and understanding of the situation for those who are truly oppressed which are the Palestinians.

While I do think that them initiating a prayer circle for people to choose "peace" might have been done in good faith, it's still so fucked that they did not even do some research to direct their empathy on the people who really need it. It also really rubbed me the wrong way that they called the war as a feud between the Israel-Hamas when truly it is a war that actively oppresses the Palestinians.

There is no "peace" in choosing to dedicate a prayer circle for the oppressors and there is certainly no peace in choosing a side that is inherently in the wrong just because you share the same religious beliefs.

happy late soul punk day! this took like 4-5 days to finish and while i'm not 100% satisfied with the end result i'm just glad i managed to finish it.

Sitting here watching s2xe5 and it’s the scene where Crowley is asking Aziraphale why his French is so bad and he says “I went to Monsieur Rossignol’s night classes in 1760”.

I decided to Google if this was a real person since the name wasn’t familiar to me, and instead I had my giant gay heart stomped on by Neil Gaiman once again.

The French word for nightingale: Rossignol

It's been a month since good omens came out and you'd think I'd have moved on already from that devastating season finale... but NOPE. I still let out an audible wail of sadness, that would warrant concerned eyes to befall me, EVERY DAMN TIME I see that gif of them from the last scene.

Additional info, it only took me one coffee to feel like I could wrestle an alligator although I know that I'll probably die if I actually did that. Let it be known that my caffeine tolerance is relatively bad.
