Afternoon Storm Swaddled by storm, Safe in brick and glass eye, A nest of blankets, books and tea pot, Paused to all but the squall and imagination.

“‘It’s like a disease,’ Mrs Proust said. ‘It sort of creeps up. It’s in the wind, as if it goes from person to person. Poison goes where poison’s welcome. And there’s always an excuse, isn’t there, to throw a stone at the old lady who looks funny. It’s always easier to blame somebody. And once you’ve called someone a witch, then you’d be amazed how many things you can blame her for.’”
— Terry Pratchett - I Shall Wear Midnight (via aeshnacyanea2000)

Battered Edges Don't judge me by my battered edges, My missing parts. Don't think I can't fly any more, With my war wounds. I'm still going, The only way I know how to.

Music
I had a friend who taught me how to hear music. Really hear music. The layers inside the notes and the way they build and flow together. He saw music like art, a Rembrandt or Turner with each element singing together while you to got lost in their beauty.
I still sit and listen to music like that, it’s the same way I get lost in a sunset, or the rain after a heatwave but sometimes I need more…
