Guys! It’s almost Halloween!!! This month has had me running around like a ghost without a head on so I haven’t had time to do much to celebrate one of my favorite holiday times (missed Inktober :/), BUT we managed to band together and put out our annual Halloween-inspired EP, and this is the cover art (link in bio)!! I really like this one: there’s psychedelic rock, a lullaby, a murder ballad, and all sorts of other weirdness, all inspired by stories and fairy tales! I’m real happy with it AND with how the artwork turned out; it was a lot of fun to draw! Now this was a fun project! One of my longtime music collaborators took it upon himself to write a country-tinged ep, and he wanted some sketchy cover art. This is where we landed! We at @manhattanchoral had our dress rehearsal for our concert on Saturday where we are performing David Lang’s “the little match girl passion.” It’s an emotional work, starkly beautiful in it’s textures. I hope some of you can come see it because it really is a stunning piece to witness live.
