Our second annual #DansenFicWeek will be July 26th to August 1st! This year, we’re mixing it up a bit by giving a semi-related theme AND a dialogue prompt for each day. This gives writers options! You can pick the theme or the prompt. You can combine them into one story. You can write a separate story for each. Join us!

SUNDAY 7/26

Theme: Neighbors AU

Prompt: “How did you know?”

MONDAY 7/27

Theme: Sentimental

Prompt: “This is important to me.”

TUESDAY 7/28

Theme: Fight or flight

Prompt: “That’s not okay.”

WEDNESDAY 7/29

Theme: What if? (change a Dansen-related canon event)

THURSDAY 7/30

Theme: Early morning

Prompt: “Come back.”

FRIDAY 7/31

Theme: Domestic girlfriends

Prompt: “You’re glowing.”

SATURDAY

Theme: Re-imagined first kiss

Prompt: “Kiss me.”

We also have a few general guidelines for the event, which are similar to the ones we used last year with a few modifications to reflect the additional themes and prompts

* Writers of ALL experience are welcome to participate.

* Create as many stories per day as you want. Choose the theme or prompt. Combine them into one story. Write for each. Write multiple stories for either or both. There are options!

* Along those lines, don’t feel obligated to write a story for each day. Not every theme or prompt will speak to every writer.

* When posting to AO3, add your work(s) to the 2020 #DansenFicWeek Collection. It should pop up when you search for it in the Collections section. Be sure to use the hashtag.

* Stories should be tagged “Alex Danvers/Kelly Olsen” in the Relationships section.

* Post your stories individually or in a separate grouping. Please don’t add to any established series or collection you may have.

* Stories should be uploaded on the appropriate day for the themes or prompts. Avoid posting them all at once.

* Rate all stories appropriately.

* Dialogue prompts should be used as written. They can be said by any character, not just Alex or Kelly.

* Themes are open to interpretation and only need to fit the essence of the concept.

* Leave kudos and comments on the stories you read. Feedback fuels the authors!

* If you can’t post during #DansenFicWeek or on a specific day, it’s okay to post after the fact. We still want to read your stories!
