2nd Design Board

For this design board, I used the same design board to present my illustrations.To get to this stage I had to go through the process of using watercolour and pencil crayons to work back in my skin tone giving them different shades of skin tones to show diversity in my collection.After I had completed and sketched each illustration out, I cut around all my 10 designs getting rid of any excess and their is no white drawing paper left.In this case my illustrations will stand out better on my design board and looks more presentable.Overall, I am really pleased with the outcome as I gained so many new skills during all the process which helped me develop these final design boards.

Main Design Board

For my main design board I had to present my one illustration on my board to finalise and finish this project.I wanted to present my illustration in a different way and zoom the design in a bit just to make it look more presentable and have put the original next to it.Also I had to show a spec drawing of the main garment i made so I decided to sketch it on paper with a fine liner first and then print it all on acetate.I then cut around the sketch and stick the corners down to the page.Overall I am very pleased with the outcome I in the final as it goes perfect with my theme and is very similar.

Technical file

For my technical file I had to create the construction samples that I had used in my final garment making,the Meath of I followed to construct the top step by step,listing out all my pattern pieces and how many was needed and finally two photos of the layout plan by laying out my white cotton fabric by placing all my patterns on and keeping them close together as possible without them overlapping each other to show how much fabric I have wasted and what is left of it all to show If I have saved fabric during the process of making my final garment.

This was my photoshoot board I had presented to show my final results and outcomes in my sketchbook.I planned this layout as I wanted to try something different and laying out some background by splattering a bit of red watercolour paint all over my double pages and made sure it was dry before placing and sticking all the pictures in my book. I included the make up close up as you can see to show you the details I went for in the photoshoot and how I did this. Overall I am very pleased with the outcome and I loved the idea of including roses in my hair as my mainly includes patterns of roses and so many more.This was something new to me that I had never experienced before but I had loved this whole unit.

Technical file

This was another part of the technical file I had to include in my work as am being assessed on everything including this. For this part of the file, I had to include my front and back of my spec drawing to show the similarities of the top I made and the sketching wise. I also presented my best patterns and working patterns in two separate clear wallets to keep them secure and stable in my sketchbook.My patterns include a style number,name and interfacings.

These samples are presented on one page to show different ways of doing them based on my designs that I could’ve used and done.This shows that I had tried different varieties of samples and different ways to construct the tops by using these samples. The long sample was based on a sleeve that was a trial to present them on pages and see if I would use them in my final design depending on how I wanted it to look. Overall I did not use these samples but it is a way of showing I had experimented enough techniques and tried new samples for my designs.

This is my final comercial I had made to represent and show back all the work I did based on the illustration work, pattern cutting and photoshoot pictures. Here you will see my finished touches on this project that is linked to the Romanian culture.
