Megatron approached from behind, regarding the traitors coolly. He didn't need to see Starscream's face to know of the conflict of desires whirling through him; he had endured the same once, so long ago. Each day like the last, he withstood their torment until their wants became his own.

“Come now, Starscream; they know the price of treachery.” He leaned in close, enveloping the Seeker’s E.M. field with his own, brutish and suffocating as ever. His lips almost brushed the side of that dark helm as he spoke: “They would not have tried so desperately to hide their intentions if they didn’t.”

A large, black servo came to cover smaller blue ones, thumb working its way between them so that he might hold one with deceptive tenderness.

“Do I need to remind you of your purpose?” His fingers squeezed around the servo in his grasp, claiming his rightful place. “We have no other choice.”

Starscream drew in a heavy vent. His servos trembled, hanging uselessly near his thighs, evading the preceding command that he knows is coming. Carmine optics remain fixed on the many bots before them: a traitor lot rooted out from their lower ranks, unremarkable, yet friends of the Seeker all the same.

" I wish I had another choice, " said Megatron — @darkmatriix

You do have another choice. We don't have to do this. Starscream silently pleaded to no Gods and no masters, wishing one would look upon him, take pity, and grant his wish to be relieved from this agony.

Subconsciously, he servos come together, digits lacing over each other, as if it will save him from wielding his master. A fruitless gesture, for his spark vibrated with a yearning for his power to surge through his circuitry, the rush to feel the warm spill of energon pooling at his heels.

" They don't know better, " he adjures, despite the visions of their cauterizing deaths flooding into his imagination— a wilt of metal with wisps of alloy carrying with the up-draft of the aftermath.
