Being laughed at by a man like this was mildly irritating, reminding Ross  of another, similar man he had known for years.  But if they were anything alike, making his annoyance obvious would only egg him on.  

“Thank you, thank you~  I’ll be here all week.” His spoke with a more or less deadpan tone.  

“Arere~?  I didn’t say that was about you.  You’re not jumping to conclusions because that’s what you think of yourself, are you?”

“Oh, hardly. I think of myself as quite human, both in physicality and mentality.” Oh, he was used to mind games, and he was not about to be psychoanalyzed by some kid that didn’t even know him. He knew much better to fall into that kind of trap.

“It was nothing more than a simple assumption, based off your line of dialogue. It was easy to misconstrue your words. I apologize if that isn’t what you meant.” And yet, he still sounded amused, more so than apologetic at least. A small hum parted his lips, as he dug out a cigarette and quickly lit it.

Eyes watched the black-haired male behind the glass. “You’re someone who uses humour and sarcasm as a defense, aren’t you?”

What was it with him getting reactions from the people he wasn’t even targeting. This is hilarious. The monk couldn’t help but burst into laughter. It’s not like he would listen when someone did something childish like call ‘dibs’ anyway.

“Oh my, you’re quite humorous, aren’t you?” He spoke only when he could get his laughter calmed down. Eyes twinkling with delight. “If you’re insinuating that I act like a monster, I would like to offer my disagreement.” No, he was very much a unique case, and he knew that. Not a monster, nor a human. He was something more unique than both.

That must be so enjoyable, knowing the only person that actually wanted to look after you, was simply so he could modify you into something more than human.

I feel sorry for the world that needs monsters to defend them. People should be more aware of the human shaped-monsters that they’re relying on. After all, creatures like that tend to bite the hands that feed them~ It’s only a matter of time before your so called ‘kings’ become your worst nightmares.”
