We went for a walk today, I temporarily lost a shoe in some mud and was very happy to have been wearing merino wool socks because I definitely stepped in the cold so I water in the mud, although there was part of me that wishes I just wore my crocs and gone barefoot afterwards, such is life. Beautiful view and it would be amazing to have a house that looks out over this, we also found what I think is an owl pellet, as it had no fecal matter inside of it and was comprised almost completely a very small fine hair and they're also bones inside and the one we were able to identify is the phalanges and claw of a midsized bird. Afterwards we went to Salt Kitchen and Rum Bar in Ipswich and I have to say I will definitely be going back! #marsh #wildlife #geese #raptors #sundayfunday (at Rough Meadows Wildlife Sanctuary)

There's only one left (don't worry, we went back for it), and the reason there's only one left is because these are oysters that have been grilled with prosciutto and Parmesan and they are insanely good! (at SALT Kitchen and Rum Bar)

You get to where you get to because you work hard and you dedicate time to it. People tell me all the time that I must be incredibly talented, and while I appreciate that I, like most artists, work very hard at our craft and are trying always to improve ourselves, we have dedicated years of our lives to learning the rules and practicing the technique to make our craft, and we continue to perfect it, but none of us woke up one morning and just did stuff that was perfect, it just looks that way, the same way people who play sports professionally are just gifted genetically, the reason they're there is hard work and determination and focus and sacrifice and that is the secret. Do people have a propensity towards certain things or a natural inclination towards certain activities? Of course they do, but most of us have the potential to become whatever we want to become, and just because somebody gets there doesn't mean it's easy, and just because it looks hard doesn't mean you can't do it. Also, and this is important, don't forget to go out and enjoy life and be awesome, otherwise there wouldn't be much point to it. #sundayfunday #dayoffwiththewife #breathing #ustime #be

The client had to have her right leg amputated (btk) and she wanted a tattoo on the other calf to remind people that you don't have an excuse, there are "no excuses", there is only one option and that is to overcome the limits and boundaries that the world uses to define you, and decide for yourself what your limits and abilities are, and then learn to overcome them. We are so much more than our bodies, but our bodies are an important part of who we are in this existence, so when we make marks on our skin it is our way of decorating our own body, it is our way of adorning our sacred Temple. To see the homes of large water rodents covered in the late garments of nature's glory, to see and hear the songs of redwing blackbirds, eagles, cranes, and being showered by fresh water/soup from the slap of an irritated tail, rubbing fresh scat between the fingers, feeling the wind push you onward, I almost felt real.
