Blaster is now painted and I also added some little details and a leather handle.

Yay getting some progress.Backplate felt a bit boring so I added some spine shape to it and I also made a mandalorian Kal from extra foam pvc.

I still haven’t cut the gauntlets and the heart. I’m also planning on making a robot hand and different shoulder armor, but for now I cut a regular armor plates.

My blaster is starting to actually look like one. There is still few holes to fill and then just more sanding and adding some greeblies and paint.

I guess I’ll go shopping more clay today. Looks like I still need couple kilos more.

Sculpting has begun! I guess it’s a good moment to tell everyone that I’ve never sculpted anything in my life. Ok we has play-doh in my childhood, but after that never touched this stuff. SO yeah let’s see how this goes. Obviously now it still looks terribly wrong. I hope to get it in a correct shape for next week.

Design process is getting further. I updater the helmet “brown” to go all around the helmet giving some extra detail to backside of the helmet.

Armor will be highly inspired by how real knight armour function. Shoulder armour will be rounded and not sharp like they look in the sketch. Torso will be pretty much similar to Jango torso. I have those plates already cut out from sintra. Not sure if I will be doing something to the back plate, but I have some ideas for it to be a little different to Jango back plate. Wrist armors are just place holder atm on the sketch. I have ideas what I want to add on them, but no design ideas yet. Would love to hear ideas if you guys have any!

Belt will be inspired some barbarian belt I found online having 3 smaller belts attached to it. Belt also has loincloth and kama made from black leather. Loincloth and kama will have diamond like shape just like Mandalorian clothing has in TCW.

Thanks. I’ve been looking these Royal Guard designs a long time already, never had any idea how to use them. 

Because my open on top helmet design wasn’t approvable. I grasped from another idea I had.

I really love this  Royal Guard helmet concept made by dfx13 on Dented Helmet so I thought I could make something similar as an Mando. Let’s see if this concept get acceptance.

Tried engraving pvc sheet last night. I didn’t use more than one hour on this, but I really think I could really do some engraving on my armour. Noticed that if I used more than 15000rpm on dremel the pvc begins to melt and if I used more than 25000rpm the blade can accidentally dig way too deep in to the pvc. But if I keep it under 15000rpm and actually make a good sketch for what to do, I think this could look really awesome in the end.

Ok open helmets are not allowed, so I’m getting back to the drawing board. I wonder if could make a cool concept with some samurai wibe on it...

Because I have long dreadlocks I though I’d design a helmet that lets my dread go out of the helmet. Not sure yet if something like this would be approvable in Mandalorian Mercs. Other details are still work in progress.

Another unique thing is that this is planned to be 2 part helmet that has the mask and a skeleton parts attached to each other with magnets.

So here it begins...

Here is the first sketch for my Mando set. I have only few things I’m sure that will be done.

1. Roman style shoulder pauldrons 2. Long robe with hood under the armour 3. Diamond shape loincloth 4. Unique helmet design that lets my dreads get out from behind.

Everything else might change while building. I have no idea what kind of shoes/boots and leg armor I’m going to build and still not sure about wrist armor/gear yet. I was planning to build a spear/pike or a sword so I want the costume to be flexible and not too much armor everywhere. I would love to hear your opinions and I’d love to get tips and tricks from Mandalorian Mercs members because this will be build in joining to Mercs in mind. Already a 501st Legion member as well.
