Did a quick bit of practice drawing hands yesterday with a bonus doodle that I didn't have the heart to destroy to make more space. I don't even know what it is, I guess its a bear? Whatever it is it's cute as hell, clearly has a sub zero IQ and may in fact be my masterpiece.

Anyway I'm very surprised the hands came out as well as they did since I don't think I've ever tried to draw one before. I'll put it down to Chommang_drawing on Youtube who has an incredible video breaking down how to construct hands and makes it look effortless whereas mine took a fair bit of Ctrl-Z to get right.

If I had to improve them I think the wrist area is slightly too wide on all the hands and the clenched fist's finger tips looks as though they aren't bent because the middle segment is too long which is what I was intending. They're also still very boxy from construction, I'll have to have a go at polishing something like this up more in the future I think.

Well here goes my first post and my first piece of fan art! I bought a drawing tablet a few weeks ago and I'm gonna try to learn to draw.

Hopefully anyone who's played FF14 can tell who it is. My main reason for doing this is for fan art and Emet Selch is a favourite of mine so I figured why not start with that to get into thing. I'm pretty pleased with how it came out considering I haven't touched a pencil or drawing tablet since I was about 14 and even then it was never anything more than doodles really.

Buto obviously this is just the beginning and I have a lot to improve on so I'm completely open to any tips or critique people might have (as long as you aren’t a dick about it lol).

Finally just wanted to name drop Brad’s Art School and Jenna Drawing on Youtube. It’s thanks to them I was able to make anything vaguely resembling a human at all haha.
