Ok so I’m suuuuuper indecisive haha. It took me two months to pull the trigger on counter stools because I’m the type of person that has to look at every single possible counter stool on the market and then ruminate on it for two months before pulling the trigger. But I’m so glad I did because when I found these beauties I knew right away they were ‘the ones.’ Easy to clean, great for kids, simple in design and they warm up the space with a nice wood contrast from our black island cabinets. For 2020 we are making a push to be more conscious of the products we're using, especially when it comes to household items. The products that clean our clothes and the countertops that my daughter inevitably eats off of shouldn’t spoil our health or the earth. Happy due date to my little Lay Lay. I can’t believe she’s been here with us already for nearly four weeks. I’m just counting my lucky stars for her and that she’s healthy and safe here in our arms. I feel like this pregnancy flew by, but my third trimester was just a wild whirlwind. But looking back, pregnancy is a beautiful beautiful thing, and so incredible. These past few weeks have just been a whirlwind (to say the least). From being diagnosed with cholestasis (check my highlights to learn more) to getting the call from my OB that we’re being induced ASAP to (finally) quickly moving into our new house two days before baby arrives... I’m pretty beat. But despite my lack of energy and time, I made it a priority to spend precious moments with my angel. The one who made me a mama. And I am just beyond excited to give Luna a sibling and make this house our home with not one, but two precious babes running through our halls. I’m getting emotional scrolling through my old photos looking back at baby Luna. My love for her is indescribable. For these past two years she has been my one and only. My little bestie. My go-with-me-everywhere buddy. My double rainbow. After a long and treacherous battle, she made me a mama. And since the moment she put our world together, she has been the best teacher - so patient and continually happy while I learn the ropes of motherhood. And I can’t believe that in a few short days (yes, days), our family will expand. While I know this transition will be hard for me, it will be harder for her. I promise you, my little love, that I will do everything I can to remind you how loved and special you are. While my time may be split, my heart never will be. Only 7 weeks till this little babe is due (I still can’t believe I have the EXACT SAME due date as I had with Luna). 💫 Baby will be here before we know it and I’m starting to panic just a little because we’re still not even in our house yet, so I haven’t even begun nesting, buying *much (just little outfits but everything else is just more to move) or preparing a nursery. I feel so unprepared! I guess history really does repeat itself (our house sold when I was pregnant with Luna at 36 weeks and we had 4 weeks to find a new place to live, move, settle and nest haha).
