Evolution of Technology and Love !

It's 2023 and there are more than a dozen ways to connect, to talk to that special person whom we love and adore.

We can video call our loved one, miles away from another country and get connected in matter of few secs. Internet equipped hand held device is just one thing we would need to have. And we are there! The curiosity to meet up, the anxiouness to celebrate a moment together, the happiness gained on first sight of the loved one, all these feelings are no longer valued because technology has made it simple, easy and accessible. The presence of social media has also made it easy to find options(hard yet truth) for youth to figure out “love” and move on from one to other easily.

Imagine 15 years back down the lane, when we had feature phones with calling feature only. We had to locate a internet cafe for surfing on internet. Back in the time we would chat on Orkut, followed by Facebook. Why, this approach? Because not all where priviledged to own or have a mobile device unlike today's teenage generation which gets a phone in high school or even in lesser standards. Waiting in internet cafe and logging into orkut at decided time just to exchange few messages was so filled with joy and happiness. Deciding when to meet, where to meet was so much joy. That was purest form of love. Little things gave maximum happiness.

If we go a little further into the past. 30 years from now. Imagine our ancentors using the mode of letters to share feelings with their loved ones. That waiting time to receive a letter and tear the envelope and read those heavenly words had supreme form of love in it. While we don't have a yardstick to measure love but mode of love letters is always going to be regarded highly for the level of joy it provided back then. The feelings carried through letters which took 7–14 days Or even more time to be delivered gave immense pleasure . Wow, those were literally one of the best days that one in love could have .

No matter how much technology would evolve but with each iteration it seems like we are degrading the value of true love . While there can be a chunk who would stick to values of loyalty and togetherness but the darkest truth is we are losing the essense of true love with each new invention to make communications easier. As they say there is a good deal in every trade off. The goodness in evolution of tech is making communication easier when in trouble, in SOS conditions, getting to know messages of importance early than later and so on and so forth. So the conclusion is technology might have degraded the absolute form of true love but has provided a pool of great benefits to society. So a thumbs up to all amazing engineers, reasearchers, scientist who work day in and out to make our lives so easy.
