I ran out of masking tape.

I’m planning to have these dissambled if they end up being too big to hang assembled. If so I’ll paint cave paintings on the interior of the antlers.

Shout out to the national museums Scotland for having their Irish elk fossil scanned so I could get a better view of the antlers shape cause cervids shape changes depending on the angle.

Still have some adjusting to do, but I got the base reinforced and ready for prep before paper macheing.

Each antler is going to 6ft long, with a 12ft spread between the two when it’s finished.

They will be installed separately to the skull so I can move them easier, they’ll also each be hung seperate so they’re better supported.

Once this one is ready for macheing I’ll get the second antler done. And prepped.

From start to finish on my two sectioned theropod heads that help depict the 5yr study I did on a possible theory on theropod lip structure and how it works in tandem with their dentiary where instead of being scaled the skin was more similar to that seen in waterfowl

One day I’ll redo the faux mount of a Dilophosaurus in the center to be more realistic and less boxy since my skills and knowledge have gotten better since I made it back in 2015.

It’s finally finished. I did this one because utahraptor has some of the most unique dental shapes among raptors. Also it’s one of the largest. This head is life size measuring up to 24inches(60cm) in length. I also wanted to see how my theory on lip structures would apply to them, and the shape reminds me of predatory birds beaks with how the dentiary flows.

Finally got the material in to make my tiny Haru Urara that I can carry around with me. She took me a day or two because of how small she was to work on along with her tack which is removable. Even gave her little bows cause in some of her races her mane is tied up with little pink and blue hello kitty bows

Love how she turned out 💕

Here’s the final on the design I recreated by Mikey Druzjy, really loved how he did this and didn’t wanna stray too far from the overall work/color palette, but still incorporate my own so it’s not an exact copy of it. Just a fun little art exercise for me to get back into physically drawing again.

Working on recreating this shirt design for my own personal reasons and for fun, something to warm me back up into doing digital art/drawing again. Also all the images I can find of it are either too small and artifact’d or faded due to it being a 2007 design.

I’m nearly done with it, calling it a night. Will finish it sometime tomorrow. Just intermixing my own style into it a bit while keeping the original art piece and idea there, just something for myself and fun practice

Honestly with how ai art has been running rampant and ppl not sure if ppls art was made by a person or shat out via prompt it’s been pushing me more into sculpting and sewing lately and making me feel less motivated to draw. Hopefully this will help with deterring that feeling

Even though I’ve always enjoyed making art I have always personally struggled with it because I was always comparing myself to others, or told I’m not good unless I can make money from it, and being my own worst critique.

Society tells us we’re not good unless we can draw with photo realism or profit from it. All humans have the ability to make art and create, it’s what makes us human, you don’t have to be as good as da Vinci to be an artist or make art. It’s another ability for us to be able to communicate with one another and to express our deeper feelings words can’t convey.

Don’t let them tell you that you can’t create unless a machine, like AI, does it for you, don’t let them rob that ability from you, everyone can create, it’s wether or not our passion survives being beat down by societies critiques.

Don’t let them stop you, that’s what they want you to do. To be like them, and a shell of your former self.

I swear to god once I finish the mini Haru Urara I’ll get back onto this utahraptor, I’ve just been occupied mentally with horse girls and horse racing lore as of late.

I haven’t stopped looking at fossils! I swear!

Made this mini Uma to test out the pattern and some things before I made a mini Haru Urara(also waiting for the right color of fabric to come in to do it with) so I can carry her with me when I go out cause my stuffed Urara is a tad too big to carry around with me 😅

Gonna change it a bit on the next attempt since I got the idea down.

Here she is in all her glory, I love how she turned out after 3 wks or so of work, she turned out great. Glad my research and experience being around and working with horses helped with this. Learned a lot from the experience. She is completely hand sewn except for the few pieces of her saddle.

Now I just need to find the best place to display her
