If I could turn back time
Would I have done it differently
If I could turn back time
Would I have said different things
If I could turn back time
Would I still hurt you

You鈥檝e grown into someone who would have protected you as a child. And that is the most powerful move you made.

Once I had a friend like you
She loved to play and cuddle
We went for long walks
She slept in my bed
But one day I had to go to bed without her
I can live 100 years
But she could only live 14 years

You see me
But you don鈥檛 see me
You see me walk
But you don鈥檛 see my pain
You see me smile
But you don鈥檛 see me cry
You see me laugh
But you don鈥檛 see me scream
You think I鈥檓 lazy
But you don鈥檛 see why
You think I don鈥檛 try
But you don鈥檛 see me late at night
You think that have I given up
But if you knew me you would think that I never give up
You see me
But you don鈥檛 see me

I used to think that my story was written in a book
That an all-powerful author held the pen and decided and then wrote
That I was just a character in a book
Life was easier to live that way I never had to make a decision
But now I've learned that I'm the one writing my story
I'm the one holding the pen
My story should be mine and not someone else's

I searched and searched,
I thought if I just searched hard enough I would find my home
But all my searching left me blind,
I had already found my home,
I have already come home
