It is very important to backup your Minecraft worlds.
It is equally important to delete old backups.
Please, I know it takes so much time. But backup your worlds weekly, and then delete old ones. You'll love it, and your computer will love it

if I had a nickel for everytime a shulker box disappeared from my inventory and I think i didn't pick it up after breaking it and I think it already disappeared after loading the chunks because i was looking for it
I would have two nickels.
Which is too many.
Second box was Ancient City loot! Ancient City loot!

So, the problem is, as a ADD person, spending an hour just mining or fishing in Minecraft does not appeal to me.
And I'm out of diamonds. And my tools are on less then half durability.

Today I learned that I didn't set the fire tick to off before I started my survival world.
Put my wood farm too close to an open lava pit and it burned down.

Kellis- Pet Me.
The door slammed shut behind me, the guard jiggling the lock to make sure we were locked in. I groggily stood up, rubbing his head, and ran back to the solid iron door, just as the sliding cover on the small window, our only source of light, slid shut.
We sat in darkness for a while.
"Well, I guess coming here was a bad idea." Hildegard grunted, rising off the floor.
"They could have been more nice." Argus mumbled.
"Why though? What exactly did we do wrong?" I asked.
Nmari shrugged. No one else knew, either. We entered the town yesterday. Everything seemed fine, until this afternoon. We had just started eating when the tavern doors burst open and men-at-arms rushed in, weapons pointed at the party. We were then relieved of all our weapons, chained up, and then shoved in this cell. No amount of questioning or protesting did any good. The soldiers simply barked at us to stop talking, with a few slaps for good measure.
"Hey, Trella. You okay?" I looked around to see Nmari talking to Trella. She was curled up into the fetal position. I could tell immediately that she wasn't okay. She was staring at something in the distance, something only she could see, eyes wide and fearful. Her breaths were coming fast and hard.
"Breathe, Trella, breathe." Nmari said, trying to comfort her. She shrugged off Nmari's hand and curled up closer.
I rushed over. "It's okay, Trella. Look at me."
She stared past me, breaths getting more and more labored, and more and more father apart.
I blurted out the first thing that came to mind. "Pet me!"
Trella jerked, finally looking down. "What?"
I squirmed for a few seconds under her stare. "... Pet me?" At least it stopped the panic attack.
"You sure?"
I hesitated for a bit. The pleading in her eyes was enough to convince me. "Yes." I said firmly, then went "Eek!" as her hands lunged at me.
She all but snatched me up, squeezing me against her. She buried both her hands and her nose in my hair. I squeaked and squirmed at her roughness. She squeezed me harder, and I stopped. Sighing, I resigned myself to being Trella's comfort animal.
After a while, Trella's movement became less and less rough, her breaths more and more even. Her hands started to go at that perfect rhythm. This time I could feel my murring start in my chest, and my mind started to drift.
I yelped as she suddenly moved, shifting backwards until we were face-to-face. "You okay?" She asked softly.
It took me a while to remember how to nod.
"Immm fineee." I muttered, yawning. I was pretty sure there were other people with us, but I could only focus on those pretty glowing purple eyes, glittering in front of me. Like some of the fay lights back home.
"Are you okay?" I asked.
Her head nodded once. "Thanks to you."
"... Does that mean I hafta get up?"
A flash of teeth as she smiled. "Do you want to?"
"Noo."
"Then we can stay." She shifted again, much more gently but still firmly pushing my head against her shoulder. "Is this fine?" She asked, her hand moving through my hair. I murred in response and nudged my head until my nose bumped against her neck.
"Fiiine."
She was warm, giving off heat like a rock in the sun. Felt like sunbathing. "I love you." I muttered.
She paused for a second. The last thing I heard before my eyes closed was, "Love you too."

Trella- Watch the Dwarf
Trella looked around the small campsite. The "shortcut" through the mountain that Hildegard had proposed had drained most of their supplies, and they were running low. They had decided to take a detour to get supplies.
They were now on the last campsite until they got to a "civilized" part of the world, so Trella was making the most of her freedom.
Nmari and Argus were on the other side of the camp, but they were lost in their own world, the female genasi talking fast and using her hands expressively, the human hanging onto every word.
Hildegard the dwarf was tending to the small fire, putting in logs as it started to die out. She didn't seem to pay attention to anyone else. She was no threat.
Her target, Kellis, was seated on a low hanging branch at head-height, which seemed to be his regular spot- high up. Come to think of it, the only time she saw him actually on the ground was doing that tunnel shortcut.
She giggled internally as she remembered his expression when he woke up. She didn't exactly know why she wanted to pet the adorable bird-boy fairy, but she was not known for thinking through an idea before doing it.
And to do it was even more adorable than she thought. And calming, too.
Focus. Kellis had his bowl of salad in his lap, the last bowl of salad, but he wasn't eating it. Instead, he was busy cleaning his white and amber wings, making sure his feathers were clean and aligned, tossing out loose feathers and dirt and several surprised- looking bugs.
She swiftly and smoothly reached up, took some salad in her hands, and was nearly able to get away with it again.
Unfortunately, he happened to look up at the wrong time. "Hey!" He yelped.
She quickly shoved her ill-gotten gains into her mouth, chewed, and swallowed.
"Thank you!" She said cheerfully.
He sputtered, looking at his bowl. "How much did you take?"
"It's your own fault." A surprising voice answered from the other side of the camp. Hildegard spoke without looking up. "She'd been able to steal from you for a whole ten minutes. I'd suggest you pay more attention."
How did she know? Had she been watching the whole time? Trella made a mental note- keep track of the dwarf more.
Kellis looked into his bowl dejectedly. He looked so crestfallen that she took pity on him and took her own bowl and gave it to him.
"Here you go." He looked up, confused. He held up his bowl.
"Trade?" She nodded and they exchanged bowls. He started digging into his. She looked at the meager portion in the bowl and frowned. She had been more successful than she had thought. She shrugged and picked up her fork. She was nearly full anyway.
After she had finished, she sat back, admiring the view. Naturally, her eyes drifted to Kellis, eating with his bare hands. She smiled. Even after all this time, he still had no clue how to use a fork.
After a few minutes, Kellis noticed her staring at him. Her smile widened as he quickly looked away, but not fast enough. She could still see his cheeks turning that adorable pink color.
Honestly, how could she not try to tease that out of him every time she saw him? He made it so easy.
He drew his wings close. “Err… shouldn’t we be going?”
“True!” she suddenly clapped her hands together, nearly startling Kellis off his branch. “Hey, lovebirbs!” she shouted to Argus and Nmari. “Our resident bird-boy asked what we’re going to be doing. Besides watching you two make oggle eyes for the rest of the day.”
Kellis mumbled something under his breath and hid his face in his hands. Nmari and Argus quickly sprung apart. It took Argus several coughs to clear his throat.
“Alright then.” Nmari took the rather beaten-down map out of her satchel and laid it on the ground. “Originally, we were going to go here.” She tapped the largest village nearest. “However, after getting lost during Hildegard’s shortcut-'' she stopped and looked at the dwarf. She just shrugged.
“If there had been dwarves there, we would be fine. I honestly wonder why there wasn’t.” she added. “There wasn’t any sign of a fight…” She started muttering in dwarvish.
“Anyway. We don’t have much food and supplies left. So, I’d suggest we go here.”
She pointed to a small village. "Just a day from here, to the east." Argus pointed in the direction. "Small, and with fewer lawmen than I would like. But it's basically the only place where we can get supplies within a week."
She looked up."Any questions?" None of the party said anything. "Alright. Let's get going."

Kellis- Can I Pet You?
"Can I pet you?" The question came unexpectedly. I looked up in surprise at Trella, her bright purple eyes gleaming down at me in the dark.
"... What?" I asked.
"You know, pet you… run my fingers through your hair."
I stared at her, confused and a bit embarrassed. She seemed to be in earnest, eyes wide, tail twitching, mouth without that little smirk that seemed to be her usual expression.
"Is this a great time?" I looked around the small, short tunnel to see if anyone else heard. Smooth stone stretched in either direction. Unlit lamps were spaced out evenly every 15 ft or so- lamps that Hildegard insisted were supposed to be lit.
It was nearly pitch black, but I could still faintly see the rest of the party. Argus and Hildegard were at the front, arguing quietly about what to do. Argus had to droop a little to whisper to the dwarf. Beside Argus, Nmari was looking at us, expression cerious. Clearly, she heard the tiefling's question. I turned back to Trella.
"Why?"
"I'm thinking it might settle our nerves a bit."
I shuffled a bit. The tunnel walls had been steadily feeling more and more cramped. My wings- my soul!- urged for open skies and breezy forests. Being in here felt unnatural and catastrophic and was about to end with a fairy dying from lack of oxygen. "You can tell?"
"Darling, everyone can tell. Besides… I know what it's like. I ain't comfortable with this either."
A little shudder waved through her last sentence, and there, just for a second, her guard went down and she looked… terrified. Then, her signature smirk returned. "Please?"
Her hand reached out, a hair's breadth away from my ear.
"Fine." I muttered. I was expecting her to lunge at me, as impatient as everything else she had done so far… but no. Her fingers calmly and steadily pushed through my hair, then bunched up and fell slowly back down. Up… and down. Up. And. Down.
It was calming. It was bliss. My eyes closed, just for a second.
_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_
"You're purring." My eyes jerked open at that whispered comment. The party sat around a small fire. Staring. At me. My Head on Trella's lap. Her tail curled around my body. Her hand still moving in that hypnotic movement. And the deep rumbling in my chest.
I could feel my cheeks heating up. I covered my eyes and groaned. By the Dread Elf-Lords of the Living Tribunal, I wanted to die. Their expressions would haunt me till my dying day.
"You okay?" Trella asked.
"Yes!" I squeaked, then quickly coughed and repeated, in a much less squeaky voice, "yes." I pushed her hands off and sat up. "Has there been any progress?" I asked, trying to change the conversation.
Nmari hesitated for only a second. "Yes, we found the way forward."
Forward. Not out. Great.
"So, can we get going? " I quickly checked my bags, making sure Trella hadn't taken anything while I was… occupied.
They nodded and rose. As always, my heart stuttered just a moment as I realized, again, how much taller they all were. I barely reached Trella's thighs.
Hildegard started towards one end of the tunnel. Argus and Nmari followed, holding hands.
I shuddered and was about to take flight.
"Kellis?" I looked back, expecting to see a satisfied smirk or a teasing smile. Instead, she looked as serious as she did at the beginning. "Thank you."
I looked away, blushing. Then, before I could reason fully, I turned back. "And for the record… we call it murring."
