@thinkaboutdolan I FORGOT IM SUPPOSED TO TAG YOU WHEN I POSTED PART TWO I did it, it didn’t take me 10 years!!
jealous pt. 2 | david dobrik
just trying to post a little more consistently also I changed my URL awhile back so I need to make a new masterlist and I’m too lazy at the moment.
here’s the link to part one!
The sound of an incoming text message had woken you up, again making you eagerly jump up from the bed. Hoping and praying that it was from David. Asking you to meet up with him. Saying that he would explain everything.
It wasn’t. It was Jake.
Yesterday, you would’ve been excited to wake up to a message from him. Today, you really just don’t feel anything.
“Hey, wanna get lunch and catch a movie today?”
“I have plans today, maybe a different day?”
It wasn’t a lie. You did have plans. Kristen asked last night if you could come over today to help her film a new cooking video. You were completely thankful for Kristen in this moment, you didn’t want to see Jake today. The guilt was still eating away at you, and you wanted to figure out what the fuck was going on with David before you could even think of seeing Jake again.
A couple hours later, you find yourself at Scott and Kristens. Scott’s editing in his office while you and Kristen are in the kitchen debating whether to cook a pasta dinner or bake some red velvet cupcakes. After deciding that it felt like a cupcake kind of day, Kristen set up her camera and the both of you started baking.
“So…” Kristen starts to question after pulling the red velvet cupcakes out of the oven and waiting for them to cool off before frosting them. “Are we going to talk about this new guy you brought to David’s last night?”
“Uhm,” you hesitate and jump to sit on the counter. You wanted to tell Kristen everything that had happened last night. After all, she had become one of your best friends, but you just weren’t ready to. And there was also the fact that the camera was still on. “I don’t think today is a good time.”
“Okay, got it. I’ll cut this part out,” Kristen says giving you a thumbs up.
“Cut what part out?” Scott’s voice says coming from around the corner until you see him enter the kitchen. With David Dobrik right behind him. Perfect.
You’re immediate reaction is to look down, right at your feet hanging from the counter. You nervously rub your hands together as Kristen, who is oblivious to the tension in the room, says “Talking about y/n’s new guy.”
“Oh, I liked him. He seemed cool,” Scott says before getting interrupted by David.
“Scott, we gotta get going.”
“Wait where are you guys going?” Kristen questions.
“Jason and Todd’s.”
“Well, can you wait 10 minutes for us to frost these and then we’ll come with so we can have everyone try them,” the boys agree even though you could tell that David was reluctant to.
After the cupcakes were frosted, Kristen reminds Scott that Link has to go out before they leave the house, which makes David groan, “I’m leaving now. Drive yourself Scott.”
“You literally drove here just to pick me up, David,” Scott laughs.
“I changed my mind. Y/n ride with me,” David says looking you in the eyes, probably for the first time since he arrived.
“Oh, okay,” you say, silently thanking your decision to Uber over earlier today. You follow David out, and hop into the front seat of the Tesla. The first part of the car ride was completely silent. You were chewing on your nails and stealing glances trying to read David’s face.
“So, are you going to even talk to me?” You ask when you finally build up enough courage.
“I don’t know what to even say, y/n,” he huffs running his hands through his hair.
“Maybe start off by saying why you kissed me last night.”
“Why’d you kiss me back?” A very small smirk appeared on his face.
You could feel your cheeks turning slightly red. “Don’t ignore the question David, I really am just so confused with this whole situation.”
“I just didn’t like seeing you with him,” he states.
“He’s a great guy, and he treats me really good .. There’s nothing wrong with Jake,” you begin to explain.
“I don’t want to see you with anyone, y/n. I don’t like seeing you with anyone because I thought someday it’d be me,” he says turning his head to look at you.  “I didn’t say anything before because I didn’t think you felt the same way. But the way you kissed me back last night tells me that you do. I mean, it seemed pretty convincing to me.”
Again, David Dobrik left you speechless. David’s been one of your best friends for awhile now. Sure, you’d always thought he was cute, and he had the best personality. And yes, you definitely did feel something after that kiss. Something beyond words.
“Maybe I’m wrong, though.” David says snapping you out of your thoughts.
You can only find enough voice to whisper your next words, “you’re not wrong.”

Jealous | David Dobrik
I got a request forever ago to write something about a super jealous David so idk I wrote this now 10 yrs later. & I’m not going to lie I can’t write for shit anymore… my words just aren’t flowing at all I don’t know what I’m doing. sorry y'all.
The sound of laughter erupting from the house was loud enough to hear before you even opened the front door to David’s. He was having a little get together with the friend group with the intent on getting new content. Your original plans for the night was to hang out with this new guy, Jake, that you were seeing, but you decided that it was a great time to have him meet your friends and see if he would be able to even handle them. After all, they’re who you spend most of your time with anyways.
“Y/n, about damn time!” Zane yells as you and Jake walk inside. His attention is then turned towards the tall, brown haired boy you had brought with, “and who is this?”
“This is Jake. Jake, this is everyone..” you say as you start naming and pointing to all of the people in the room. While everyone gave him a friendly smile and hello, David just gave a little nod. You scrunched your eyes at him in confusion, but he just stared back at you expressionless.
“You guys have to catch up,” Scott walks up and hands a Corona to you and one to Jake, taking your attention away from David. You thank him, and follow as the rest of the party moves to the backyard.
After a couple of beers and Zane running through the fire pit, not once but twice, it was obvious that everyone was having a good time. Everyone except David, who you had just realized wasn’t even outside anymore.
“Can you hold this,” you hand Jake your beer. “I’m going to go to the bathroom. I’ll be right back,” you say standing up and heading inside. You found David lounging on the white couch with his hood up and his laptop sitting on his lap.
“Hey,” you say taking a seat next to him. “What’re you doing in here?”
“Trying to edit,” he replies without even looking up from his laptop.
“David, it’s Thursday. You don’t have to post until tomorrow night.”
“Early start.” His eyes flicker across the screen, but still refuse to look at you.
“You never start early. What’s really going on?”
“Are you dating him,” David asks finally looking up from the screen and locking his eyes with yours.
“We’ve been on a couple of dates, nothing official..” you start, surprised by the question. “I’m not really sure why that matters..”
David forcefully shuts his laptop and stands up from his spot on the couch. “It doesn’t,” he says as he starts walking towards his bedroom. You’re already on your feet and following him before he even reaches the room.
“What the hell is the matter,” you start but the second that your feet cross the door way David turns around and you’re pushed against the wall. His lips press against yours in a forceful kiss and before you could even process how to react, you find yourself kissing him back.
He finally pulls away but his arms are still pressed against the wall behind you and his face still only inches from yours. “You should probably go.”
You wanted to understand why he did that, what that even meant, but you couldn’t even formulate the words in your brain. Before you knew it, he was pushing himself off of the wall, walking into the bathroom, and slamming the door. Your hand went up to your lips as you turned to walk out of the room and back outside to the guy that you had brought.
A ball of guilt began to fill your stomach as soon as you saw that wide grinned smile on Jake’s face when he locked eyes with you. Yes, your relationship with Jake was just casual, not official. But you had brought him here, and somehow ended up making out with one of your best friends.
“What took you so long?” He asked handing your beer back.
“Oh, I was just talking to David,” you say. “I think I’m ready to go home now, though. Is that alright?”
“Alright, yeah. Let’s go,” he complies. The two of you get up and start saying goodbye to all of your friends, then head out.
Laying in bed that night, you grab your phone off the nightstand and open your messages with David. “Can we please talk” you type and hit send, before throwing your phone back on the nightstand. It dings with a new message about two minutes later, and you eagerly jump up to check it.
“Maybe tomorrow,” it reads.
