Oh shit, it’s EHRT’s 1 year anniversary.

Honestly I should’ve made something for the occasion but.. eh, was really busy all month of May and June snuck up on me.

Anyways, crazy how far the comic has come in a year. Hopefully this year will be just as full as the last. It’s been great getting to know so many of you and hopefully you all have an amazing month!

Y'know the Mirror chest in Enter the Gungeon? And how when it breaks, this big Eldritch monster shatters the glass and stares at you for a few seconds, increasing your Curse? Yeah so I had that happen in a run today and when i saw it of course I thought about @dawning-mars,because, y'know. Eldritch Horror, and all.

This was originally supposed to be a doodle between friends, but I'm so proud of it I decided to post it here on my socials. Enjoy the rare fully shaded art from me!

Was listening to a video about Shin Godzilla and got inspired.

The idea of a creature in constant pain but also constantly evolving felt very eldritch. In the first one I like to imagine Mars has formed a whole ecosystem around her. The system feeds off of the malnourished goddess, her body endlessly withering but never dying. Only meant to grow.

For the second one, I kinda like how it feels both grim and suggestive. People exploring Mars’s new environment only to be changed and fused to the Eldritch being. The longer they stay the more they change. Their bodies becoming more Eldritch with extra eyes, carapaces, and teeth.

The last one is a little different from the other two. In the previous two, Mars is the one incorporating others into herself. This one she’s trying to split away. What could come from this, a new god? Two Mars’s? Or maybe she just remains deformed and rooted in her suffering?

These aren’t part of the comic, just some interesting concepts I wanted to sketch.

While I have you, just wanted to thank you all for your patience with the next few parts. They’re taking longer than I like but I plan to get the next update out by next week.

Guess it’s my turn.

I actually work at a library but not the one you might be thinking of. I work at a map library and on a daily bases I handle centuries old maps, books, and other materials.

I’ve been to Chernobyl… no really, I’ve been to Chernobyl. I was in Ukraine and joined a tour guide who took us to outside reactor number 4, Pripyat, and the massive radar tower. Really spooky but I’m so glad I was able to go.

I love to cosplay, it’s actually how I met Sage and together we’re planning some fun cosplay ideas for Anime Boston. One of them is Chimera Falin.

H.R. Giger and alien franchise are huge inspirations to me and my first ever transformation comic I drew was being turned into a Xenomorph Queen. That comic is long gone now and looked awful.

My favorite animal is a cow and to celebrate my birthday Sage brought me to a farm to help socialize a baby cow. His name was Gideon and I love him and I hope to go see him again this summer.

When I get angry or upset I’ll stomp lol a rabbit. Sage calls it my bunny stomp.

I really love the beach! I would go down and spend hours in the water.

I’d catch crabs, crawdads, even an eel once! And when dad would come in, I’d run to his boat and see what he caught.

So many memories.. it’s really nice to be here again.

You pulled The Sage, The Shepherd, and The Deceiver.

These are the last of my submissions for the Trans Trading Card Collection started by @unholytgirl and @sadcoldcoffee.

The Sage is well, Sage, someone who will always stand beside Mars even during the darkest times. Though one rarely comes out unscathed when dealing with Eldritch Gods.

The Shepherd is Hastur, a goddess who has taken a protectorate role for Mars. Her goals are unknown, is Mars being toyed with by another god, or are her intentions good?

The Deceiver is Nyarlathotep, the trickster goddess who uses humans like chess pieces. Mars has gained the attention of this mischievous goddess, what will come from it can not be known.
