I was very protected, I think.” she nodded her head quietly with a small smile, tucking some hair that had fallen loose behind her ear gracefully. “I’ve never been to Australia. What’s it like?” she questioned him with interest. “And how do you feel about this trip to Thailand coming up? You are going, right?” she questioned in a friendly manner.

   “australia is... interesting. i went surfing for the first time there, really life-changing.” he said, chuckling slightly at his remark of surfing. “oh, yeah! the thailand trip. for sure going. it’ll be really cool, i think. and yourself? have you been to thailand before?”

   “im a hundred percent sure your daily caffeine intake is along the lines of how much you took today, and im choosing to ignore the fact that you may have a chart for your daily caffeine intake,” he chuckled before moving quickly away from her hands. “how about, let’s not pinch my cheeks for a second and get this coffee away from you,”

   “well, i kind of had agreed to get in the box, and i thought the most extreme they could have done was shove me in a freshman’s classroom or the girls’ locker room or something like that, not during an assembly. mind you, the boxes was big enough for me to fit, okay. im not a giant,”

“Wow.” Naomi said in shock, smiling at him and then giggling. “That is nothing like what school was like for me. I was still living in London, my senior year. I was actually homeschooled through my final year, but prior to that I had been in India. School is a lot different there.” she replied to him, shrugging her shoulders softly and offering a smile. “But that sounds fun, anyway. I’ve heard that American high schools are just like college without being held legally responsibile for yourself.”

   “must have been cool to travel a whole lot, the most i’ve gone was to australia to visit my grandma.” he said, kind of embarrassed with the fact he has ever been to one country when she’s been to tons. “yeah, high school is exactly like that,” he agreed with a laugh. “almost wonder how i got through it,”

   “— so then, i tumbled out of the box to find myself on stage with literally everyone in school watching me, the principal staring at me with his mouth open at the podium and there i was, still in my gym uniform, next to the box, looking confused as fuck with all of my squad backstage laughing their heads off. senior year was wild and i fucking don’t regret a single shit,”

   “woah there, hot shot, slow down,” dax shook his head, amused by her actions. it wasn’t everyday he got to witness the girl acting without cool. “i was just asking how your day went, not the statistics of your daily caffeine intake,” he jokingly said before leaning on his chair. “also thought you needed the company so, here i am,”

“I’ve slept 5 hours in the past 2 days, and I’ve had 6ish cups of coffee today.” Shannon was shaking from the coffee, from the lack of sleep, she was going to break any second. “I’m doing great! My last final is the hardest one, and I’m doing GREAT!” She clutched her pen, clicking it open and closed rapidly.
